I'm struggling to get the Strike Commander recognize HAT switch on my Logitech 3D Extreme. The standalone version of Boxer App does not allow it. Works like a charm in the Boxer App.

I've tried to fiddle with the DOSBox Preferences.conf, but it does not help either.

The version using Boxer "standalone" App works a bit smother, than home made in Boxer. Otherwise, I'll stick to homemade version.

Any solution?

Try editing the .conf:

[joystick]

joysticktype=ch

Tried already - does not work.

Part of the problem are limitations of the standalone version of the BoxerApp. It overrides these settings, enforcing the HAT to act as stick / plane control.

I've even tried "Enjoyable" to remap HAT to mouse - it works in the menu, but as soon as you get to the plane, you're back to square 1.
