One important fact; the victim of the copyright claim was the person who wrote the song in the first place.

A similar incident happened some years ago with VVVVVV, where YouTube took down the video that Terry Cavanagh (author of VVVVVV) posted as a trailer.
What did you expect? This is automated systems, and no AI is not powerfully enough to make those destinations yet.

Their account name matches that of the copyright owner, and the track name matches that of the copyrighted content. It doesn't get more "legitimate owner" than that; it means the system absolutely, 100% fails at recognizing legitimate owners. At this point they might as well close down the whole service because everyone is apparently a dirty pirate.
Wait, so an artist uploads their own song to Soundcloud, then their copyright cop system takes it down for infringing on themselves? That don't make no kind of sense. Was the system designed by retarded monkeys or something?
Happens far too often. Both automated & false claims.

I recall one youtube clip was taken down because it had someone else` song in the clip.
Erm, the only sound in the clip was of snoring or something odd like that lol.

Another, Dean Hall, posted a clip of DayZ onto youtube.
It got taken down, something about he didn`t own the rights to post footage of the game.
Errrrrrrmmm, Dean Hall, created the mod DayZ, followed up by the DayZSA game.

Automation should just send an alert to someone to check it out, not to automatically take it down & worse, the ad` revenue that would`ve gone to the original person, now goes to the one that pushed for a take down.
