Alright, so I've never posted on here, so sorry if I'm doing something incorrectly, but I was wondering, will these games ever come to GOG? Freedom Fighters I've played on all consoles, but I'd love to buy it on PC, and there's nowhere to do that. The same goes for No One Lives Forever. I have and loved No One Lives Forever 2, but never got to play the first. The only time I did get a chance was all the way back when I bought it on PS2 (which I hear is worse than the PC version due to check pointing among other things), but when I put it in the PS2, it didn't work, so I had to return it. I'd love to play both these games on PC. I remember there was some talk about NOLF coming to GOG, but I guess that never happened.
Welcome to the community!
If you want to see a game brought to GOG, vote for it on the community wishlist. I think the reason that No One Lives Forever hasn't been brought here so far is some sort of legal/licensing issue, but I don't know the details. I'm sure somebody else could tell you about that.

You'll probably get more, it'll just take a little while.
If people seem annoyed, don't be discouraged. It's just because we tend to get a lot of new users around here asking if such-and-such game will come to GOG.

Hello there.

In the case of both games' absence, the two most likely scenarios are:

1) The rights are splintered between companies
2) The publisher/owner of the game doesn't care about a rerelease

Your best bet if you want to play those games anytime soon, is to buy a physical disc.
An interesting article about the situation with No One Lives Forever:

Wanting No One Lives Forever is like, a Gog past-time.

I'm sure Gog is paying off government officials, assassinating people who get in the way and inserting Gog sleeper agents throughout the world in order to get it here. :P

<Has both on disc, and I thought the first one was considerably cooler than the second one :rubs it in: :P

Yes, a good example of how totally and utterly broken the whole IP system is.

Fuck those companies, seriously fuck them; pirate the games until they come to GoG. Easiest way.

Nick23x2: Freedom Fighters
My guess is that there are some legal issues with this game as well. It's the only game by IO Interactive to have been published by Electronic Arts instead of Eidos / Square Enix, chances are that the rights to the game are now partially owned by both companies.

I'm not sure about No One Lives Forever, I haven't checked, but the last few times I checked for Freedom Fighters, you either can't find it elsewhere (online, let alone retail), or it cost way too much unfortunately.

Thanks for the link. Last I read was an article (which I think is mentioned in there) about there being a chance that it may be coming to GOG, and yet it never happened.

"Night Dive founder Stephen Kick and director of business development Larry Kuperman emailed me to let me know that while they had indeed planned to re-release No One Lives Forever and its sequel, they'd hit a wall and been forced to give up. Thanks to the ongoing inability and/or unwillingness of three publishers—Activision, 20th Century Fox, and in particular Warner Bros.—to determine who owned the game, Night Dive is currently abandoning its efforts to revive No One Lives Forever."

Got an original copy of Freedom Fighters but I can't run it at anything but lightspeed.
