I know this may be an odd problem...
I keep occasionally finding new games in my account. What's up?

Of most recent note, I've found:
- Giants: Citizen Kabuto (that may have been a promo I've forgotten)
- Worms Forts: Under Seige
- The Consortium: Master Edition
- Battle Realms + Winter of the Wolf

Is this GOG matchmaking based on my love for games with punctuation-separated titles? Is this the kiss of Judas right before I'm hauled up in front of the local Pilate? Or is this just a glitch?

I'm really curious.

Giants was given away free, as was Battle Realms. The others may have been rewards for spending at a recent sale.

IIRC, all of them were given away for free in different promos. But you had to actively add those games to your library, so it looks like the OP must have indeed a terrible memory.

All the titles you mention were given for free during one big sale or another, but it shouldn't be hard to check the details in your Orders History.
One had to click on a button to get them, so the fact that you don't remember doing it is quite interesting.
Probably just amnesia :P
Sounds like the consensus is that I don't remember doing it. I'll claim young children not sleeping through the night as my excuse. I seriously don't remember doing anything to get these games. =p

Now if Stardew Valley shows up in my account, I'll know you all are just messing with me. I plan on playing that with the kids, so I WILL remember when I pick that up... probably...

P.S. I really must not use the forums enough, because after 5 1/2 years, it still calls me a "New User."

I highly recommend taking them outside and planting a little garden spot with them and growing a few real-food items. It should be AMAZINGLY FUN and rewarding in so many ways, and great for them too!

You can change that here
I too have a similar problem. I want to find more free games here but gog keeps wanting money for them :(
Just kidding. With a few notorius exceptions, gog's free promos have been top notch, in fact, some of my now favorite games have been some of the one gog gave away at one point or another.

Don't feel bad, I have picked up a few free games totally on accident myself. Usually what happens is that I see the "Free Game" banner on the GOG homepage and I click on it to learn more about the title. Normally, clicking on a game takes you to the store page where you get pictures, reviews and a description; but for some reason clicking on a free game adds it to your account instead.

Pffft, that's nothing. This forum has called me all kinds of things!

The criterion for no longer being a new user is going into your forum settings and changing that label. You could have stopped being a new user right after you signed up ;-)

Agreed! We've planted mint, sage, and tomatoes so far this year. Cucumbers and some beans to come later, I think. This will be the first year they've been able to participate, so I'm looking forward to enjoying the garden with them!

Now that would just be cheating. No one who has not survived The Keaning has the right to call himself anything but a newbie!

Same goes for anyone who does not know the Ricky.
