Well, that's the thing:
You can't kill in this game. You're literally just deciding who you want to make the vote. It's like Bler just pointed out...it could be upwards of a WEEK per mission, and just circle around on pure conjecture until a spy eventually casts the negative vote, and then it's back around the carousel we go.

I think I'm out. I don't think an observer list would be wise either, since, considering how slow these games normally go, I'd probably have nothing constructive to contribute, just continual stupid jokes. I just run at a much faster clip than these games allow for.
Move me to the sub list, please.

That is entirely possible, but the plan/hope is that since it is only one player (the captain) is making the decision there will not be the same amount of humming and hawing. I can't really make them shorter otherwise the difference in timezones will just shut down communication.
Also the deadline of 2 days is so that there is the possibility that players in opposite timezones would have a chance to ask one question or so, the point is that as soon as you know who is going on the mission you vote.

If we manage to get some good alignment on time zones I would hope we can get a few votes going over some hours rather than days. The potential for slowness certainly is there though. I am curious how the format will translate to writen communication.

By the way, did you consider the Avalon rules instead of classic Resistance? The Assassin / Merlin roles would make communication more fraught. And we have to trust folks not to PM anyway to some extent...

I did. In fact I also have both expansions for Resistance so there are tons of different role options. I just decided to stick with the base this go-round.
