I think that's a good idea. The first day of a given game is usually painful enough without christmas dragging it out even longer.

True. I wonder which one Joe is considering. We were going to collaborate and dual mod a game at some point but I never got around to working on it with him. (I think the plan was we'd work on the set up together, he'd take care of the flavour writing and I'd take care of mechanics of the game while it was running).

Mafia #19 hasn't started yet and it is intolerable.

If someone would help me come up with a small balanced setup then I'd be happy to host it tonight. The question is, where do we hold it? Something a bit more... live than the GOG forums would be helpful.

After two games I have come to the conclusion that I like the games, but I am utterly crap at them and probably to much of an lurker to make them enjoyable for anyone else. Therefore I will not actively join a game, I think, but if you are ever in any problems making up the numbers or if there are any withdrawals in future games - I am more than happy to join in.

I'm terrible at the game too, you should do what I do - keep playing and making everyone suffer until you get to be mafia (and then you make them suffer more). >_>

That's the problem I end up with this time of year. I really want to play, but my participation is crap when I'm balancing gift baking and work. Hell, even when I don't have to balance work and just the baking my participation is crap.

You still outlasted both myself and JMich in your first game. That has to count for something. :P

I have a couple of setting ideas, but one's somewhat experimental though probably could be brought under control for balance, and the other's quite far off the deep end as far as both balance and reason are concerned. As soon as i come up with a moderately sensible first time game to run, I will be ready to host. :)

I think you are by far not the worst player here and even those who maybe are bad can play if they actually play and not lurk 98% of game. If they don't make the game unfun there is no reason why someone hsouldn't play.
You also are not utter crap. You were not bad at all alst game and this game was not bad either. You were obvious town during D1 and that's certainly something.
I really don't see reason why you should not play on unless you don't want to. :-)

Yeah, not to mention we allow you to play with your horribly disfigured face.
