@bler, Yes I noticed docbear's posts, but I am giving her the benefit of the doubt for now as she's still learning and her posts this game remind me a lot of her last (albeit short) game where she was town.

1. Incorrect. If I were Greatest of all Cops that game, you would have lost. I was parity cop the prior game (Gallows). As role cop the first three nights I copped QA (mafia cop), CSP (town sta...I mean, henchmen to the evil demon overlord), and thee (mafia doc). So knowing alignment there would've been smashing.

I was shitting bricks when RW flipped (That explains all the troll turds!) at daybreak D2. Still impressed I managed to a) not get lynched when I did claim, and b) lynch QA. Though we, uh, still lost.

2. I'm really not intentionally going for derps.

3. Not game-related or a reason not to vote him, but he told me a week or so back he'd sold...something and was using the $$ to buy video games and/or a controlled substance he professes being fond of. But yes, hopefully he'll come back and do something other than squabble with lift/HSL.../sage/trent.

HijacK doesn't just randomly make this claim after yogs. Either scum is pulling a major play or there is some kind of truth here.

I agree the wording was odd, but I don't think this is a slip. I'm not going to guess at drealmer's alignment right now.

I'm waaaay too lazy (and legitimately short on time to research) but isn't specifying RL obstacles kinda a tell from you? I mean, I blab about RL all the time, but I can only think of two games where you've brought it up and pretty sure you were mafia both (Academy, and...something more recent?)

I think for D1 this is something to take at (roughly) face value and reconsider D2 when there's something more to compare to, Hijack's partial claim notwithstanding.

Admittedly part of me hopes this is !scum-yogs just blowing a buddy out of the water for cred, but there are practical considerations that make me think even you would view that as a non-viable scenario in this particular game.



I assume you have your reasons, but imagining myself in your shoes I think I would have tried to push a more telling wagon and then vig doc overnight.

And not just b/c I still tend to assume we're getting a JMich sub with pickles and mayo at some point at/before D2.

@Sage - This seems like a good place to address your earlier reply....I agree that it would be bad to lynch someone who had never participated. I argued similarly for ???? (was it Ixam) in dreamler's (???) game. The difference I see is that wagon was actually building. I may need to go back and reread, but I don't think Lift called for Gamma lynch - I think it was for pressure votes. Your response does seems "curiously fervent".

Having said that, Lift is pinging me, but I'm not sure I can articulate it well yet. Something else has caught my attention and I need to check it.

I will say with certainty that, at least the last time we discussed the proper execution of a vig role, yogs' view has been that it should primarily be used to narrow the POE rather than go for the gold - the way most people use it. STU aside, killing lurkers absolutely moves that POE along as a tactical kill.

Perhaps partly why I found his claim at least fairly solid/consistent.



Agreed, but you do recognize you're posting this immediately following you straight out pressing yogs for detail on how his role works? And it's not clear if you're asking b/c !town-you thinks he's scum specifically, or if you are just pressing for mechanics that might help block him, or leave him alive because !town-yogs is 1-shot and wasting it targeting !town-what'shisname.

So...it seems a little...inconsistent to be throwing the accusation of fishing around, perhaps.

For now I'm inclined to read between the lines and trust that doc is the proper vote for now, as you suggest. I don't think knowing more about how yogs works/doesn't at this point is helpful at all, however, esp. without having first built any case.

It was easier for me to do that since I could filter out my own text fairly easily, but yeah, it still took a minute or two to find it.

So, the hesitance wyrm and I have both mentioned, is that in Drealmer's game (you weren't in that, right?) she was town doctor, slipped that she was doc while RPing about bandages, and then drew a shitstorm of attention over some complete nothing statement, that scum (RW for one, maybe Lift as well) and town (trent? I don't recall) made hay out of. She subbed out, babark came in and couldn't defend the slot any better since there was really nothing to say and was saved only by finally claiming the doctor role D1.

It was not a shining moment in town history. But town won nonetheless!

And the game was 100% totally balanced and we won through that sort of stellar town play. Yes indeed. Yogs was particularly engaged and solvey, and the best part was when the town other-doctor, who didn't know they were a doctor, blew themselves up trying to investigate the claimed Paranoiac. Pretty much textbook town play start to finish.

Anyway, so it was basically gog-vets pile on her D1 in that game over not much, and it is kinda like that so far here as well. Thus while I think it's the necessary play in the moment, I'm not anywhere near as fully sold as yogs claims to be.


But are you like super-duper strong? Like maybe a 10 STR but not so much INT or SNK?

Also maybe a bit out of control with anger or excitement; wild or frenzied? Lots of those biker gang guys have that reputation.

Perhaps with some immunity to high-speed projectiles from all that leather that you wear?

Does become very slightly curious that Sage could touch yogs' soul on why voting doc was a solid D1 case, but then in follow-up she neither votes on nor makes any explanation of why she does not join in.

@Gamma - at times you appear interested in playing games here. If that's true, you ACTUALLY NEED TO PARTICIPATE. Your computer issues have not prevented you from participating in games on another site.

I was perusing a mafiascum game and realized your account has posted there quite a bit. So I a did a search on your posts. You did not post Sunday or today (Monday). However, on the previous days:

Saturday - 50+ posts
Friday - 50+ posts
Thursday - 25+ posts
Wednesday - 25+ posts

A search displays 25 posts per page sorted by date of a user's posts on the forum. At a quick glance - most posts were in games.

I am not going draw any conclusions just yet in case this is some sort of misunderstanding. It may not or may not be AI.

@ bler... What I remember of docbear is that she was a really promising rookie I thought did really well several games ago, so should be even better now. Feel free to dig up examples if I am off base, but I am just using some baseline meta and baseline level one scum hunting here. @sage - I must not have been clear, sorry. My original reply was an answer to your question about Lift - the eyebrow raise was at him not you. I did on the second go around find your explanation over reactionary given the game state.

I was further behind than I thought. There was a lot of posts (for us) Friday-Sunday. My eyes started to blur by the end of page that ends in #200, so it's time to stop. I've read some of the posts since then, but not all. Traveling tomorrow, will pick back up tomorrow (err...today) evening.

I'm at work and haven't had much time. So I didn't read any of the comments since yesterday yet. But I have thought about the yogs situation and how to handle it. There are basically two ways: one is to policy-lynch him just to be on the safe side, since his claim would be the perfect cover story for scum. The other way would be to wait at least one night and hope that RW included some role(s) that can penetrate the Miller deception, if that claim is true. IF RW really did include such a bastard role, I expect that he will also have included some counter balance. (Say like a Role Cop, Lie Detector, Oracle or Coroner. GS wouldn't work, since yogs claims to have a limited kill ability) Of course, if Yogs is scum, another scum may come out tomorrow and claim to have cleared yogs - but that will link the two players and scum has no way of knowing, whether there's not a real town role that can clear or condemn yogs. So such a follow-up false-claim would be risky for the.

So, in spite of the outrageous claim and yogs history of outrageous statements it might be best to keep him around for at least one Night and see, if the Role Madness works in our favour.

Here's the thing. I saw something earlier that made an impression on me and back then I wasn't sure if and how to react to it, but wanted to make sure I hint about it at least in passing so if something unexpected happens from the other side things don't automatically go south. Fortunately, additional actions weren't necessary and the game went into entirely new direction which currently seems just a bit better.

Anyway, unlike myself, Yog exposed a lot of information voluntarily and by himself, and considering what he claimed you have to agree questioning had to be done. If you don't, then I will frown upon you.

I will give you just a bit more. I was asking Yog these specific things because there was a possibility where I would have been able to detect a foul play. That didn't happen (whic doesn't automatically clear him in any way, it just doesn't condemn him either).

On the other hand flub tried to extract whatever information I may have had by twisting my words. I'm not a fan of such tactics, especially when we already have enough to focus on.



Hijack's claim, being the second one of a similar stack, by definition is a lot more suspicious and less believable, but I don't really want to focus on that right now unless something important happens. Both claims might very well be true or fake.



Suddenly I'm reminded of Lift's opening post and how the 3 plot devices might have been killed by different factions. I'm getting more and more convinced we'll get a whole bunch of dead people during the night.
