The only one I see with a black avatar box is drealmer, is there more?

Seems like there is a reduced interest for mafia games atm, I'll keep sign ups open until Monday, then see if we can run the game or if it should be postponed.

FWIW, I could be in with a start date of the 26th or later.

(And sorry for still not sending a suggestion; haven't read (m)any old mafia games, would want to at least familiarize myself with a few setups before picking one, and time just isn't on my side right now.)

It started off with some people as "protest" or whatever, in others as a sign they left the forum, and in still others a silent way of saying they were/are having personal troubles and wouldn't be on the forum as much.
And of course the inevitable group who assumes it's a trend and joins in for the heck of it.

I've seen some others around the forum, in various degrees of black (timppu has a santa hat on his black box). I seem to recall seeing somewhere that people were doing it on purpose, but I can't remember why.

This feeling, it kind of reminds me of my reaction after watching Pulp Fiction: "What the heck did I just watch??"

Of we could get one more player, 9 is a perfectly reasonable number to run a game at; even if we only had 8 it would still be pretty doable without being partially janky.

While both 8 and 9 are perfectly fine numbers for a game, I think there was only one game at that range of players. Since I was thinking of doing a rerun (still need your votes btw), I do need 12 players.
Unless I just toss the rerun part out the window and just run a standard 9 player setup. We'll see on Monday.

If you re-ran the smurf/matrix game just sans SK, that would be kinda/sorta a repeat.

Edit - though I realize that probably wasn't specifically the 'familiar surprise' element you were going for, the matrix aspect would still create some guessing.
