I'm about to eat pumpkin pie+homemade whipped cream and so thought I'd eat it with a cheers to you as your life hangs in the balance. The real thing is that I think we need to know what he's doing. Were you predicting bad flips? I certainly wasn't. Even more than JMich teasing "arsonist" in game 28 it seems like a case of someone knowing something they presumably wouldn't even guess out of the blue without knowing something. And yes, somewhere in the observer thread JMich is insisting he really was town that game.

But, among other things, I'm skeptical he would have been able to predict that twist even if he is coroner, and even coroner seems pretty unlikely at this point. How did he know it?

So...do we lynch him today? I don't think I can really know until he talks.

I've ranted about him enough that I'll try to avoid repeating myself, but the only sense I can even make of his insistence that he won't post until the hammer goes down is either that:

a) he's going to back out (though he seems pretty fervent on that)
b) he's telling a non- or partial-truth that falls apart if Leonard doesn't flip scum

And my whole bit about "truth" yesterday is that "b" shouldn't matter. Town has lynched town many times - if we're wrong on Leonard it won't be the first or last time. In any case, Leonard's wagon is really Krypsyn's baby. I think I did a lot to attract attention to Leonard D2, but I don't think him flipping scum "clears" me anymore than it should "clear yogs." He looks guilty.

By the same token I think it will be a bit hard to say anyone on the wagon looks suspicious if Leonard flips town because he sure does look guilty.

However what seems most likely:

c) there's a hole in what he's going to say, and that he's relying on success in today's vote (and then a convenient NK) to distract us from it.

Yogs is putting a lot of stock in the notion that _surely_ he wouldn't bus two teammates. So ergo, if Leonard flips he's town. Which both ignores that he would totally bus all his teammates if they looked doomed, and that he himself "guaranteed" multiple teams.

Which is something else I'm really curious to hear him explain how he came to that with quite so much certainty.

Today I think leonard is more the issue. Since there is holiday time and people are more away so than normal, it is a good time to present any more points of discussion anyone might think are good to do. I'm open for that, certainly.

I do wonder how many of the votes on yogsloth are pressure votes trying to get yogsloth to give up information but are also actually comfortable with leonard as a likely scum-suspect for today? We know bler wants to kill both of them today! What do others think?

I think the points bler raises are good, but really, if for some reason yogslothdoesn't give it up/isn't lynched himself for not doing so before the day is over, and he is alive tomorrow, I think the pressure will be right back at him anyway. Even stronger so at that point, and he won't be able to "slip away unnoticed as a subject of focus for the group" or whatnot. He's in the spotlight and knows it and won't come out of it I don't think will escape it, nor does he want to, really.

My reads on yogsloth so far is that he just likes to be the center of attention for the game, regardless of his role/alignment, every time he plays; and depending on his role it serves him some ways or others depending.

Really though, right now, in my limited exposure to his play, it is really impossible for me to try and differentiate good yogsloth vs. bad yogsloth, so, I'm good waiting on that mess's further development or someone convinces me otherwise/I begin to have more doubt about him for some reason.
