I tend to either use avatars that companies provide for their games or, if I'm looking for something specific, crop part of a wallpaper down to size. In the case of the one I have been using here, it was offered as a Twitter icon for a 3DS title that never got localized that I came across on one of Amzy's sites.

Fairfox: Does anybody use the same avatar in multiple forums? Does your avatar have a deeper meaning?

I know some people change a lot, others keep the same one for years (...decades?).
I keep my avatars synced on Discord and GOG (and they change every fortnight), but otherwise don't have any other platforms; to contrast I've had the same avatar on Google & Youtube for who knows how long.

Fairfox writing in "normal"... strange times I got to witness. Well, that's a welcome change.

As for the avatar, it's a character from Darksiders. Azrael, the angel of death to be precise.
I tend to keep my userpics for months or years even and no, I do not use this picture for every profile I have. Some have the holy avenger from Disciples II (I used it on GOG too for some time), some feature Toshiro Mifune as Sanjuro Kuwabatake or Vergil from Devil May Cry series.
And the meaning... I don't think there's anything special. Just something that's aesthetically pleasant to be associated with mostly. Although most of those characters tend to have a trait or two I consider appealing, come to think of it.

I didn't know about that....it reminds me the construction equipment company CAT suing this one bakery/etc because they used the word CAT on their shirts/etc.

that game was absolutely fantastic, back in the days. the music as well!!!

I don't remember for sure. but I don't think i have. but I do remember both, No One Lives Forever and No One Lives Forever 2 very well.

I had a blast playing those games. even tho, I'm not much into those type of games.
