I'm using an Nvidia graphics card on my laptop, which can be switched with the integrated card (so I've got two), however for some reason I can't use the scaling either and noticed the similar issue was present on another laptop and funnily enough, the other laptop which also had an Nvidia card by default did show the sidebars in games like Morrowind, and after I reinstalled the Nvidia software it suddenly stretched the image out and tehre was no way how to reset it. Really weird.

On this laptop, however, I could never get the sidebar and all games are always stretched out when they're old, unless you can select in the game a different resolution (like in Divine Divinity).
