Looks like a good game, I've added it to my wishlist, but with combat added, not really what I'm looking for here. I guess I didn't put that in my OP, but one of the things I love about these games is the relaxing ability to sit there, look around, enjoy the view, and think about what I have to do next. Combat completely erases that.

Still gonna grab this for when I'm in the mood for a hybrid experience though. I totally saw this one a few weeks ago. It's what made me realize that there probably are other games like this out there, and prompted me to start my search for more. I just totally spaced it when I made that list in the OP. Lemma looks good, I'll grab it at some point.

I'll look through that thread too. Yeah they did. Like attracting like? Opposites repulsing? That's no how magnetism works!

Still looks like a really good game though, just imagine it's a different force at work, or pretend they're opposite charges instead of like when they attract and vice versa.

The Magnetic: Cage Closed suggestion looks like they got magnetism right though, and looks like it probably has a good story too.

I was more thinking of the 3D world and other similarities to the other games mentioned, and figure 1st person is the lesser of those 3 qualities that matter (3D world, puzzle/physics type being the 2 more important factors.)

yeah it looks it to me too! like a 3D Braid, which I enjoyed to an extent but then just got driven crazy with trying to get things to go how I wanted them to!

Twin Sector comes to mind, but that game is poorly received.

Twin Sector looks good, but the reviews are pretty terrible. I'll probably give it a try when it goes on sale anyway.

Kairo reminds me of Myst, a lot. One of my favorite game series.

At first, when watching the trailer, I thought that Polarity looked like it had nothing new or unique to play with, no interesting mechanic to the puzzles, basically not quite worth it, but then I saw the split screen co-op and versus! SOLD! Not enough PC games are made with local multiplayer capability, as I use my PC as my console, so even without anything new, I know I'm gonna buy it. Oh, and after reading a few reviews, not even the description I finally figured out what Polarity's unique mechanic is, the color based phasing back and forth to pass through or hit objects. Nothing is said about that in the marketing).

NaissanceE looks interesting too, Myst like, less platforming than most of these, but still worth playing it looks like.
You know, when I made this thread, a huge part of what I was looking for was the first person immersion. I like these games because of how awesome they would be in VR (even though with my computer's specs, and my budget, I'm not able to do that at all any time soon). The feel of motion, or the beautiful world to explore, etc. In this thread, that is mostly what I'm looking for.

But that time mechanic is so cool! Yes, I like the concept of this game, and I'm gonna get it when I can. You showed me something I wasn't even looking for, but just for the mechanic alone, might be the standout suggestion here.

P.S. Perspective falls into the same category as Project Temporality: Not what I was looking for in this thread, but a damn cool mechanic that makes me wanna play it really badly.

I've just remembered a couple of other games that also fit the bill:

· Attractio: draws lots of inspiration from the Portal series. Used to be available DRM-free somewhere until they finished development and they went Steam-only.

· Glitchspace: much more focused on the puzzles/programming challenges aspect than on platforming, seems interesting nonetheless. Available DRM-free on itch.io and IndieGameStand (for the time being, it's still in Alpha).

· Matter: amateur game made by 6 students that looks and plays better than others made by pros. The Linux build seems to be updated and it's not loading for me right now as it's looking for an old version of a library...

Attractio looks good. Just downloaded and checked out Matter, it's cool too, doesn't seem to be any story to it though.

Glitchspace looks freaking amazing though.

Hmm... Gameplay wise it looks like A Story About My Uncle with smaller grapple targets and parkour added. Looks fun.

Kinda hope they do something with the graphics though. So many of these games are already in blockspace. One of the things I liked about ASAMU was the Myst like world to explore. All the straight lines and flat textures don't really incline me to exploration.

But yeah, other than following in the graphical footsteps of all the other blockspace games, this looks like tons of fun.
