Hi guys, maybe someone here can help me out:
I got 2 old Western Digital HDDs and the official firmware update program doesnt work (I would have to disconnect all HDDs except the one I want to update).

The two are a Caviar Blue and a Caviar Green. Thank you so much!
Why do you want the firmwares? Do you have issues with the drives?
The Blue sometimes freezes (it doesnt have any errors, so it should be a firmware problem) and the Green is slower than newer firmwares.
Tried temporarily disabling anti-virus?
Did you try the latest (4.0.1.4) WD Universal Firmware Updater? I think it is only for external drives.

Direct download.
Wait, old hard drives have updatable firmware? Of course, I'm thinking SCSI and IDE, as SATA is too "new" for my marks.
