My actual mouse left button started to suffer of micro-clicks, so I'm finding a replace, so I'm happy to read your recommendations.

I'm like somewhat with the accomplish the next:

- No Logitech, as long as their not fully drop out their stupid driver auto-update background process.
- Not install a virtual keyboard not any background task for use the programmable buttons. If this cannot be, I'm like a mouse without programmable buttons.
- Preferably wireless.

In short words, a good wireless mouse for gaming that it drivers not come with crapware.
I recommend this one, it has a build in handwarmer.

I had no idea Logitech does this. I've been using a Logitech mouse and keyboard and never noticed it, but I got it several years ago so maybe I'm using an older version without the autoupdater? What is the process name? Shouldn't you be able to simply disable it (if not through the Logitech software, then by removing it from autorunning manually).

Sorry can't help with your main query, since I use Logitech and wired.
Hm, had been using a wireless Logitech mouse for years, never ended up with any nasty extra processes or anything. You sure you end up with this garbage if you don't manually install some software from their website? Anyway, the only reason I stopped using it was that I didn't have a suitable mouse pad while I still had a cheap wired Acer mouse that worked perfectly on my desk.

Funnily said cheap mouse also broke several days ago, left clicks stopped registering. Tried fixing it but I only broke it even more, miraculously even the sensor stopped working even though it's still lit. Finally ordered a mouse pad so I can hopefully use my wireless Logitech mouse again. Just in case I also ordered a super cheap mouse from some no-name manufacturer that will hopefully work directly on my desk just like my previous mouse had for almost four years. I REALLY don't like mouse pads. Never did, never will.
Love my Death Adder.

Same here: I purchased a wireless Logitech mouse many years ago, and I never noticed that with the drivers. But maybe I just used the native drivers. Also, I was using Linux almost exclusively, and in that OS, "it just worked" too.

My most relevant tip is to try it out before purchasing if possible. See how it fits your hand at the store. Especially if you use it much.
Happy user for years of Logitech MX518. I wanted DeathAdder but i got really good deal on Logitech and i'm glad i got it.

Funny how often the good quality product is too arrogant to bother working except under the most ideal conditions. Disk drives are like that too... several new generations of disk drives over a period of 20 years still fail to read crappy disks that my cheap 20 year old disk drive can read without a problem at all!

So i am forever stuck with this horribly old disk drive because no one can make a disk drive that works better than it.... absolutely crazy! hehehehe
Hmm, Logitech updates? Can't remember the last time it updated, been so long.

Anyway, just bought a Logitech m705 this afternoon. Got it because my wife beats the crap out of the LMB, so it's replacing an older m705. I wasn't sure about cordless and games but I'm using the same model on my laptop and it works like a champ. Battery life is great, too, around a year so far. Using a Logi wireless solar keyboard and it also hasn't updated in forever, if ever at all.

So you probably don't want to hear this but, buy Logitech! ; )
Lennie also needs a new mouse.

What the holy heck is wrong with the site posting URL links tonight.

I smell a rat.
I am using Armaggeddon Alien G9X.

I find it invaluble playing FPS games like Front Mission Evolved because I can configure my mech to fire 4 weapons and have 4 different button on the mouse position ergonomically.

My other hand is already occupied by the wasd, jump, crouch, slide, power up, ex drive buttons.
