To be more exact it'll release on GOG, Humblebundle.com and Steam on the 3rd of November.

After opening the official website earlier this week, XSEED has announced that Xanadu Next will release on November 3. More than a decade after its original release in Japan, the action RPG will be available on Steam, GOG.com, and the Humble Store for $19.99 with a launch week discount of 10%.

One of Falcom's most well regarded Action RPG games, and one I've been waiting so long to finally experience.

Finally... been waiting for this game since they released the Ys games, can't wait to play it again
Looks good! It will probably make its way into my game collection at some stage.
Nice! Love that they release their stuff here. On an aside, is there any way to save anywhere on the Ys series?
Please tell me this works in WINE...
Groovy

Only in Ys I & II as far as I remember

Daw, too bad there's not some kind of mod to do it. Time constraints have really locked games without a save anywhere function out of my vocabulary.
Very nice grab for gog. I've never played the original series, but I know it's old as hell and originates on the PC-88 Japanese computer. Now I have played the NES spinoff Faxanadu. Good memories from that one.

Well save points aren't too far between

They're usually not too far apart and you receive an item that leta you teleport back to save points.

yeah faxanadu was a damn cool game. I hadn't played anything quite like it at the time, though it tool a bit of time for me to figure out. Got it for my 8th birthday along with double dragon 3, good memories. :D

Actually, Ys III: Wanderers of Ys (at least the SNES version) let you save anywhere. When you reload, most enemies on the screen will be gone, but there were some exceptions (which once resulted in a situation where I died immediately after game over, resolved only when I managed to open the menu and equip a Shield Ring).

I wouldn't be surprised if both Ys IVs let you save anywhere, and I don't know about Ys V.

(Note that Oath in Felghana is not the same as Ys III; the save system is one of the many aspects in which these two games differ.)
I thought you meant Faxanadu for a bit.
More Falcom (and Xseed) stuff is always nice.
Nice, I was hoping for it to be released on GOG too since the PC-release was announced.
