We know that many of you expressed disappointment about the lack of the new multiplayer feature in the latest update to No Man's Sky on GOG.COM. While we have limited control over games and content updates, we want you to have the best and risk-free experience possible when you buy a game on GOG.COM.

Although Hello Games chose not to offer refunds over missing game content to our users and instead promised to bring the missing multiplayer content later this year, we understand that some of you might not be willing to wait. For this reason, entirely at GOG's own cost, we’re offering an extended refund policy for all owners of No Man’s Sky. Even if your purchase is no longer covered by the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee, you can contact our customer support team and we’ll issue a refund in wallet funds.

This extended refund policy applies to all owners of No Man's Sky on GOG.COM who request the refund by this Sunday, July 29, 10:00 PM UTC.
goodness! my respect for you guys just increased considerably!
It's a good move from GOG. But on the other hand, I can understand that it takes some time to launch MP for Galaxy. I can understand that the small team from HG developped MP for Steam first since it has a much larger user base! I'm pretty sure we'll be able to play MP on galaxy in the coming weeks so don't worry ;) ( And seriously this is really designed as a relaxing single player experience. In my opinion, MP here is mostly a gimmick to please the PUBG fanbase that don't understand that some games aren't all about headshots and competitive gaming...)
Plus, I'm grateful to Hello Games for releasing a high profile game like this one DRM-free on day 1 ( as well as all the content updates). I preordered this game and watched it become something really unique and refreshing. So yeah, all in all, I think you should really get this game here if you want to support drm-free gaming!
Not playing for the multiplayer experience. But good guy GOG at it again.
After thinking things over I arrived to the conclusion that I did overreact a bit. I will not request a refund in the end, even if they would refund my Paypal or Card. They (GOG) are the best and Steam (+ Hello Games) don't deserve to benefit from selling me a copy of NMS there.

I will continue my adventures on my own and hopefully when/if multiplayer comes to GOG it will be a nice addition.

In other words: boo Hello Games (again); YEY and BRAVO GOG!
Thank you GoG, i wont refund, i have the game on Steam too, and i can tell you that multiplayer is good, but you cannot really do anything together.
Well done GoG. Well done yet again.
Good old GOG.
just come here to say
you guys are awesome Q.Q
I don't give a damn about multiplayer so I won't be getting a refund.

I'm glad the game is finally starting to look like what I'd expected to buy two years ago, but in any case , very well done GoG. That's why I keep coming back here to shop.
really decent move from GOG
Proving, yet again, this is the greatest and most gamer-friendly platform available!

Thank you, GoG, I wouldn't expect any less from you and from Poland.

Hello Games proved time and time again what a lousy group of trash they are. From false advertising, over-hyping, and flat out lying to customers, to continued disappointment like this latest broken promise. I hope this company finally ends up breaking over this mess. They can add what they want to this steaming pile of crap, but it will never come close to what they promised. I am personally sick of these companies promising one thing, having no issue taking $60 or more from me, and delivering something that doesn't even resemble what was promised. Then they talk about rushed released and every other excuse, but years later, the game still doesn't resemble what they initially showed off as "gameplay" or the many features they promised.

I pre-ordered this game based on the hype (from the devs, not the players), "gameplay" videos, and promises. I couldn't even run it on a high-end PC until their first patch. When I finally got in, it was a very empty and repetitive experience missing nearly every feature they promised. I would love to get a refund and use the money to buy something else, especially since I haven't played it since about a month after the first patch. I won't though in support of GoG. I'm guessing Hello Games will not take a hit by me getting a refund from GoG, so taking a refund may get me some justice for my wasted $60, but it will also hurt my favorite game platform. I greatly appreciate the offer and your gesture to show you actually value and aim to keep your customers.

Wow. Came here and heard about the multiplayer. Will not be buying this game elsewhere. So Hello Games lost a potential sale. Thanks for the customer support for those who purchased based on false promises GoG!
Well, this is indeed would've been a awesome move, if not one "but":
"...we’ll issue a refund in wallet funds."
That means, that if I wanted multiplayer and wanted to buy Steam version - I still have to spend real money on it and sit with this "wallet funds" waiting for something to pop out on GoG so that I can spend them.

But, besides that - yes, that is really nice move, I admit.

UncleObli: I have been pretty vocal about my disappointment, but GoG chose to address the problem first hand and this is something that should be noticed and appreciated.
You're underestimating.
Praised and remembered.
Such loyalty _from seller_ (who, technically, have no obligations in this case) towards honest customers is rare nowadays.
Kudos to you, GOG, for having the backbone to treat your customers right even when the developer does not. I will not be asking for a refund, because I never cared about multiplayer features, and I'm very happy to have a DRM Free version of the game with all single-player content, but offering refunds for those who want the fulll experience is really a class act.
