Wonderful! The Flowers series is really good. Thank you so much to GOG, JAST, and Innocent Grey for the releases!

Hope to see more JAST titles work their way over here. Especially since Nitro+ has a side brand focusing on male x male stories... Would be nice to balance out all the female x female titles we've got already. :P

I'm pleasantly surprised that when I opened this thread, the typical warning wasn't there.

I bought the first episode and ran into several issues:

❶ The in-game font looked like standard Courier font was used
❷ After an attempt to save a game and then exit the .exe crashed.
❸ Restarting the game and trying to Load caused an immediate crash

I found that this issue can be solved by navigating to the game folder \GOG\Flowers - Le volume sur printemps In it is folder called font containing these two files:
❶ installscript.vdf
❷ overlock_mod_font_installer.exe

After executing the file the Overclocked Mod Standard font should be installed into the default Windows font folder.

Running the game now displays the correct font in-game, and it is possible to Save, Exit (to Main Menu or Windows) without crashing the game.

There is one other small problem left to deal with. Returning from Options to Main Menu causes the BGM to stutter and lag. That's no big issue but still a little annoying.

There is none because the series is for all ages. This should also be mentioned somewhere in the description on the store page.

Can you elaborate on what is good about these visual novels? I am curious about this series.

I don't want to spoil anything too much, so I'll keep it vague.

These are not as fluffy and gentle and innocent as they seem. Yes there is romance and slice of life and it is very feminine. But mystery and drama with multiple endings are what the dev, Innocent Grey, is known for. Also some pretty heavy themes feature here.

If you're into that, you'll like it. If you don't, like me, you won't touch it with gloves.

I haven't read these yet but I think the art looks absolutely gorgeous.

It's a well written (especially if you like pop culture references, though some are a bit outdated by now lol) yuri VN, with amazing illustrations, voice acting and character design. Each chapter focuses on a different couple, with some overarching misteries and plot points, there are also some non-canon endings that are fun to unlock,

There are also lots of decisions to be made throughout the novel. I particularly like the visual cue telling me whether choices will lead to desired outcomes.

Maybe some 泣ゲー, 薔薇 (maybe やおい also?),電波 and 鬱ゲー will also find their way to this shop in the near future? Until then, there's lots of reading ahead of me with this series. :-)

Speaking of Flowers, the game was made by Innocent Grey, a developer who also made Kara no Shojo,

A beautiful yet gruesome and dark VN set in Post-World War 2. It’s a detective story sort of VN with some point and click elements. Safe to say they have a reputation for having some form of tragedy in most of their titles.

However, of all their Games/Visual Novels, the Flowers Series is the least dark since it still has subjects relating to emotional traumas and the usual dilemmas of having a lesbian/yuri relationship without the gruesome murders taking place…


Highly recommended as this is one of the best Yuri Visual Novels available with its gorgeous artwork and engaging narrative!
