To celebrate the occasion, all editions are on a 60% discount which will last until February 10, 1:59 PM GMT.

Remember those 101-in-1 multicarts?

Evoland 2, a heavy case of all-around video-game history, is available now on Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com!

The original Evoland was the byproduct of one of those ridiculous game-jams, where talented developers come together to show off their craft under the pressure of time, audience, and crippling hunger. It took gamers on a ride through the history of action-RPGs, from the early days of Zelda, through awkwardly chunky 3D, and into the gloriously high-res modern day.
Evoland 2 is the, well, evolution of the original concept - bigger, more varied, and with all the genres included. It remains a classic RPG at heart, but as the game and story continues to morph, you'll travel through a massive mix of familiar tropes and gameplay mechanics including Guitar Hero, Metal Gear Solid, and even a little bit of Bejeweled. It's Multicart: The Game, and remains one of the most interest concepts in gaming to date.

Embark on an all-in-one adventure in Evoland 2, A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder today, DRM-free on GOG.com
Will be getting this soon, never played the first one.
This is a surprise, i didn't expect a sequel to this game... love the first one for it's nostalgic walk-through of different hardware/system limitations and growing over time through the computer/console generations...

Hmmm i get a feeling i'll enjoy this one very soon :)

rampancy: Wow, that was unexpected. But a lack of a Mac or Linux version is disappointing.
Well, they are still working on it. It's a small team, so I'm not surprised that Mac/Linux versions aren't finished yet.
I just hope it doesn't take to long :D

Smannesman: Holy moly, $20?
I'll wait for a while.

siegfriedrox: With Evoland, even the price evolves with the time..
Not only the price, the content has evolved as well :)

Nothing much. It's just that Gengar78, being a ghost, cannot rest in peace without Freddi Fish 2 being released here.

Oh, okay. I was just curious since i had never heard of this game before.
Will grab this sooner or later... looks fun.
Seems more suited to Android than PC, so I'll pick this up for my tablet from the Play Store or Humble or something like I did with the first one.

I do wish GOG would break into the Android market as the DRM-free stance is sorely needed on that format, arguably more than any other.

Free will is a myth, Religion is a joke. We are all controlled by something greater: memes, the DNA of the soul. They shape our will, they are the culture, they are everything we pass on...
I wasn't as interested in the first one, though I have picked it up. This one though with so many different types of games squashed into one I just couldn't resist! Seeing it be an adventure, then morph into an rpg, to switch to a beat em up, and onward to a shoot em up just made my day reminding me of so many fond memories with older games. Thanks for this very interesting gem.
Hmm Hmmmm, looks tasty, wishlisted for now until you release a Linux version.
I absolutely adored the first game. Sure I completed it in one sitting, but sometimes I really enjoy being able to complete a game in a single sitting. Especially when it was as charming as that. It will be interesting to see what they can do with the longer format.

Wow... So I decided to look around the web for some Evoland 2 reviews and stumbled over this gem right here: http://www.familyfriendlygaming.com/Reviews/2015/Evoland%202.html

I quote: "Some of the content in Evoland 2 that families will want to be aware of is demons, bad language, violence, alcohol reference, helping demons, sexual innuendo, easy to get stuck, and it teaches the belief in global warming. Evoland 2 also promotes the controversial and highly divisive religious belief of evolution. Evoland 2 could have easily been made more family friendly. The lowest difficulty setting can still be difficult for casual gamers."

I guess they didn't like it much. Which, for some odd reason, reinforces my own desire to buy a copy. Funny how that works!

I'd love to read their review of Postal 2.

Just read the review of Skyrim. This will give you a good impression xD "The best way to describe The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is if someone imagined going down into hell and then they tried to portray it as a good thing. That sums up my painful experience with this game."

Gotta love objective, unbiased gaming journalism.

And now I want to go play Skyrim.
