Luckily we don't need to play MMOs to enjoy their music. I still frequently listen to WoW music even though I don't play anymore : Warlords of Draenor menu theme + Black Rock Foundry especially. Both of which you linked in this thread.
That's a beautiful musical piece. I still want to try and get into the Final Fantasy games one day, but for the moment the universe simply fails to grab me. For whatever reason I'm far more susceptible to Tolkien-ish fantasy settings, as well as sword and sorcery settings. I seriously considered Age of Conan for a while.
I haven't played a lot of games with awesome musical scores lately. The last one was HoMM3, with some absolutely beautiful and epic town themes. My favorite, of those I encountered, is the Stronghold town theme :

One mission in the Shadow of Death expansion, the one where you had to find a veil or something with Gem, took me damn well three days to beat.
