cardangrille: Arrgh, too many in here! Cardan wants leave strange mushroom place, but Cardan sees other Half Orc with still alive turnip. Cardan little friend Jocko died... but many little mushroom here. Cardan will take just one small mushroom too.
Oh great! I immediately leave the room and go to the right room , the Holy Guardian can stay and help these poor half orcs in whatever happens after Cardan picks up that mushroom.

If there is still time in my turn and I am in the right room, I say "Daniel, this looks like a puzzle to me. It's obvious that if we touch the chest first we'll get some tridents up our a$$. We must see what those buttons are but without going near the chest. Can you approach the buttons while looking for traps in the room? "

Hearing a noise come out of the door across the tunnel calls back his ghoul before he loses control and gets Doom Scarab ready to cast.
I hope that ghoul doesn't come back and attack us, right? Right???

Me still tries to get to the main tunnel again. Too many people in too tiny room.

Pater Alf - Half-Orc Warrior
39 - Misery Halfling Berserker

What, you afraid of some mushrooms? Maybe you half orc half chicken!
avatar
Zadalon: Let's put it this way. One more hissing from the mushrooms and we will get attacked. Does anyone want to try to get carefully to the door on the other side of the room and open it?
I guess that's pretty much happening in TURN 5. ;)

I saw that post but Doc didn't include the move in the update and thought he sort of "canceled" it and had you stay in position.
Daniel - Human Thief

After finding no traps in the door, I open it and take a peek inside. The first thing that calls my attention is the chest in the center of the room. Definitely a big opportunity right there! Unfortunately, the second thing that called my attention dampened my excitement a bit: Four statues of lizardmen warriors facing at the center of the room.

Now, I would generally be more than eager to rush to the chest, but said chest being in the center of the room with four lizardmen statues in the corners is a clear red flag. This lead me to the third thing that called my attention: Yet another door in the door and four curious buttons beside it.

Interested, I enter the room, and advance cautiously towards the buttons in order to inspect them more closely.

I also call my companions and say:

"Alright people, looks like we're in a puzzle room. And these four buttons right here might be the key to solve it. You're encourage to help me with it, but DON'T OPEN THAT CHEST! Or at least, don't open it until we solve the puzzle. I really don't like the look of those statues..."

As it's clear that the... unwise actions of some of his companions are provoking a hostile response from the mushrooms, Calad, having remained near the door, quickly returns to the tunnel

Ok.
I can go see these four buttons but I have a bad feeling with these statues of lizardmen.

When I get close to the buttons I say to the other companion:
Tridris come here to take a look at these buttons too to see if we get the puzzle.

Valius, Elven Battlemage

Hindsight is always 20/20, and it seems Valius realized he shouldn't have entered a tiny room filled with sentient mushroom creatures, goblins and half orcs. He realizes he should have learned a water spell of some kind. He also realizes those mushrooms seem to be growing and hissing: obviously not a good sign. Getting out of this room before something happens is now the priority for Valius.

"Well, I don't really want to be a mushroom's dinner by passing out from the stench in here, so I think I'll just look for a way out of here by crossing this too uncomfortably small room."

Valius casts Invisibility on himself and explores the other end of the room for a way out.

39 - Misery Halfling Berserker
walks up to the chest and shouts "IS THIS THAT CHEST YOU WANTED OPENED"

grinning wickedly under his red stained bear skull-helm
Fognino, Goblin Shaman, shouts to the group that there's definitely movement among the fungi, and prepares himself for a fast spellcats should the need arise.
(In case of sudden attack, an Ice Elemental should do the trick, fungi hate frost. Just, better to delay the summoning to the last second, in case the situation can be resolved peacefully)
49 - Zazz - Goblin Berserker

Zazz watched the mushrooms start to grow in size. Curiosity gave way to an intensifying sense of unease as the hissing from within the room grew louder due to the actions of the half-orcs and human.

He steps away from the doorway and heads into the right room leaving the humanoids in the left room to their fate.

'Better run than die to mushroom.'

1st I recast Death Armour if the previous one expired, you never know with so many people around...

After making sure that 39 - Misery Halfling Berserker didn't triggered any traps (and it's not pile of dust right now) I'm entering the room, looking around if I can sense anything sinister - especially from the chest.

I approaching Gold saying: "Well, that's interesting!" and I'm inspecting the buttons - without touching them.

If I heard what 39 - Misery Halfling Berserker said I comment quietly to myself: "Great, another clown, that's what we need now, maybe some extra corpse wouldn't be so bad after all"
