If all music vanished and I could save the music of a single musician/band, I would save the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, I'm a pianist and I would go crazy if I can't play his music. I would miss Pink Floyd dearly, though, and so many other bands and composers, it would be a nightmare! :(

Haha, believe me or not but long time ago I'd started playing Age of Empires with Fear of the Dark in the background after accidently launching the game with this cd inside. What a perfect combination it was... good times.
As for musican... tough decision, but how about Jean Michel Jarre?

If I had to choose one single band, since half the members of my favourite of all times are dead (Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, an Italian prog band, mostly active between '70s and '80s), I'll stick with the next one, Radiohead. They'll help humanity face the catastrophe, melancholically choosing a quiet death.
