Does anybody own this game on win 8 and play the game just fine.I was just about to buy this but apprently alot of people are having problems getting the game to run.

I can run it on windows 8.1 just fine.
It can crash during gameplay, but changing the 3D Acceleration in the options to Direct3D Hardware TnL fixes it for me.
There is also this blue rectangle around my cursor that I can't get rid off, but that is just an annoyance and hardly a problem.
Otherwise the game runs stable (for me at the least) and is still a blast to play.

It's fine now. Just be sure your copy of Win8 is updated. Win8 when it first came out made the graphics very screwy. But with an update that happened a year or two ago, it fixed it right up.

I bought the game and first 5 mins was fine.Then it froze.I tried changing compatabilty to win 7 and didnt work.I deleted the tnl in the folder and it worked for 5 mins again until it froze.
Will try to tweak the settings some more and see if it works.

Be sure graphics drivers are up to date and set graphics settings to: 3D Acceleration: Direct3D Hardware TnL
