So i noticed when i bought battlespire and redguard that these 2 games aren't on sale anymore. Any reasons why or was it a limited thing that they were given to you from bethesda?

ES Daggerfall and Arena have been free for years, so they weren't on sale.

And you can get them from the Elder Scrolls website easily.

Those two games were never sold on GOG by themselves. You simply get them as a bonus when buying any Bethesda product. And according to the gamecards in question, it should still be that way.

For example, this is what it says on Reguard's page:

"About: When you buy this game, The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls Chapter II: Daggerfall will be added to your GOG.com account for free!"

They're not on sale on Gog and never have been, they are given to you free when you purchase any Bethesda game here though.

Bethesda released them for free - get Arena , and get Daggerfall [url=https://elderscrolls.bethesda.net/en/daggerfall?]here. Then download and install that. Now follow instructions found in Arena and Daggerfall's respective .zip to run it. I'd rather suggest using these versions:

They include lots of (also third-party) fixes, and include DOSBox too so you don't have to set it up separately either.

That said, even with those Daggerfall is pretty buggy. Yes I've dropped outside the map area in many dungeons when trying to climb big stairs. It is advisable to use a levitate spell or something like that to climb such stairs.

But Daggerfall sucks anyway, so... Arena is meh, but at least playable (I finished it one or two years ago).

...OR, he could just download and install the GOG versions that he already has, and which come pre-patched, and with DOSBox preconfigured.
Or the Wiwiland versions that timppu indirectly linked to, since those are even better. True, but it's also awesome.

Or, he could do what I suggested, it makes you feel better because you had do do it yourself!

By that logic, you shouldn't have even given the download links, or your YouTube tutorial link: just think how much more of a sense of accomplishment he'll feel if he has to find the software himself, then figure out how to set it all up with no third-party tutorial! But wait -- to feel the maximum sense of accomplishment, he shouldn't even download the ready-made emulator, but should instead compile it from source himself! No, wait, he should write his own! No, wait...

If you bought battlespire and redguard here, then the first two elder scrolls games should already be in your account. If they are not, you should contact support to fix it.
