I'm sure not many people know of Echtra Games, it was founded 5 years ago by Max Schaefer who co-founded Blizzard North and worked on Diablo, he also founded Runic Games which developed Torchlight 1 & 2.

Echtra's only game is Torchlight 3.
Farmville The RPG?

Could this turn out to be anything other than a free to play, pay to win game?

Agreed. Same here.

This is the kind of shit that happens when you pander to the common lowest denominator for mobile/console/PC.

Quite true, but if you play the older mobile games, they're awesome. N.O.V.A. is a fine example. Its been pulled from all stores, but it was amazing.
