rtcvb32: Why would you remaster something that average computers can just now just barely seem to run?
BrianSim: Same reason they "needed" to Remaster Bioshock to look exactly the same. Or why they 'need' a new Skyrim every 3 years. AAA remasters have never really been about how they look or run. It's all about the money. As soon as people signalled they were happy with paying 2-5x the money for 10-30 year old games from slapping a thin coat of paint on them, (ker-ching!), the floodgates opened...
To be fair if a game is 25 or 30 years old I used to be able to understand remastering it more so a 30 year old or more game .. I say used to as we are getting to the point not only are remasters reaching a critical mass piont but also now that games are getting made where there is a standard and one that hasn't changed sense about 15 years or so now, where accessibility is no real problem for older folks and those with physical handicaps... compared to before and graphics hasn't changed too much .. thus I don't see remasters as needed unless a massive shift in standards happen in gaming and a massive shift in accessibility.. Only way I am okay with remasters now if they iether have been gone do to rights issues for so long or they are so far back like say the 90's or so that a remaster is needed
