farbizz: Hello, I had a problem with co-op in Dying Light 2. My friend and I were going to play Dying Light 2 in co-op, we both went through the prologue, we teamed up, played, super! The next day, we were also going to play co-op, but we didn’t succeed, because the panel of the epic shift + f3 keyboard shortcut did not open for me. Shift+f3 doesn't work and it's not the keyboard (I checked). At the same time, my friends list was not displayed, and I could not join any other player. The "find games" tab was empty, and at the bottom there was an endless download with the inscription "search for games". My friend invite me, I dont see the invitation. As I think, this problem arose after being turned off off the Internet. I wanted play at the game in Dying Light 2, but at launch there was a black screen with an endless loading. It was after this "event" that I think the cooperative stopped working for me. I've written to both Dying Light 2 and Epic Games support, but I haven't been able to find any specific information on how to fix the problem. I can't return the game to the store. A friend with steam version game is all right. I wrote here in the hope that someone will help me, or maybe someone is faced with a probable problem.

Epic Store doesn't even have any Forums & Guides. Steam has those, Epic doesn't.

When it comes to Denuvo -
Dying Light 2 Stay Human was in development for seven years; throughout that period, over fifteen hundred people invested their time and talent into making the game. To protect the efforts of the whole team from piracy we suffered when we released Dying Light 1, we’ve included the Denuvo system, at least for the launch period. It’s a solution used widely for AAA games nowadays.
Being gamers ourselves, we understand your concerns, and we want to ensure that it will not impact your gaming experience. We continue putting extra resources into testing the game, and at this stage, we do not see any noticeable impact on the performance.
We’ll be actively reviewing feedback during the game’s launch.
Do not hesitate to share yours with us too.

Alexim: The actual sales figures of Dying Light, source wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dying_Light#Sales

In the first week after its release, 1.2 million people played Dying Light. The retail version of Dying Light debuted at No. 1 on the US software sales chart, outselling heavy competitors such as Grand Theft Auto V and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Dying Light has the highest-selling first month of sales for a new survival-horror intellectual property, breaking the record previously held by The Evil Within. The game also reached No. 1 on the UK software retail chart for two weeks, outperforming other major releases in February such as The Order: 1886 and Evolve, despite the game having been released a month earlier in digital format. In its first 45 days after its release, 3.2 million people played Dying Light, making it the most popular game that Techland had developed. Techland announced 4.5 million players had played the game by May 2015. The game had sold five million units by August in the same year More than 17 million players had played the game by December 2019.

Alexim: As The Thing would say: "What a Revoltin' Development!"
Mmmm very strong smell of contradiction.

I've always been amazed at how confidently they attribute lost sales to piracy, while also making record sales.

How can they possibly determine how many have grabbed a pirate version, that would have ever paid for it anyway, certainly at full first release price. Simply they cannot, so all smoke and mirrors.

I say that as someone who doesn't support piracy, but who believes in pointing out bullshit when I see it.

If you really want to get insight at how a company behaves and why, just look at what has happened here at GOG with all the DLCs for Dying Light 1, and the pricing, and the way they treat long term customers, their best supporters. It is just totally about squeezing maximum profit and not giving a toss about us really. If anything, things will be worse for Dying Light 2, which the advent of Denuvo inclusion has clearly indicated already.

Right, I don't think there's even a forum for Dying Light 2 on GOG. And I'm sure given recent matters and changes in TOS and all, GOG don't wanna talk of the Steam or Epic version here, which are competitors to them.

Same probably goes for Steam, too - on their forums, I doubt they want talk of the Epic version there.

Epic really should get some Forums and be more gamer-friendly / consumer-friendly, in that matter.
The shutting down of gaming deal topics notwithstanding, if they don't want us to talk about EGS at all, they've a dashed funny way of showing it: https://www.pcgamer.com/gog-galaxy-is-letting-testers-buy-epic-exclusives-directly-from-the-app/
Why would anyone use Galaxy to buy things from Epic? If I want things from Epic, I'll use Epic. What good is it if I can't download an offline installer from GOG?

I got dying light 2 for XBOX ONE. My roommate and I are experiencing a lot of glitches playing it co-op.

My roommate and I are both on the same wifi network. When we play 2 player co-op campaign there are a lot of glitches. The game will only save for whoever is host, and items will disappear after opening a chest/item box etc....

QUESTION:

Was wondering if co-op runs better on PS5 because I was going to try that. Has anyone here played dying 2 on PS5?? If so Is it any less gitchy? Does the game run co-op better on any other platforms? That's basically my main question. Wondering if Xbox one is the most glitchy or if it's any different on other platforms.
Pretty odd it isnt in GoG, isnt Dying Light 2 devs from Poland like CDPR. I plan to play this this Winter when I get back to gaming again.

Dying Light 1 didn't launch Day 1 on GOG either.

Steam has DRM; it's often why most dev's release their games there first and b/c it's got the highest player base on PC, these days and age.

Also, if it's coming to GOG like a year later or so - similar to what Dying Light 1 did - I'd guess when bringing it to GOG and making that version, Techland will have to pull all the Steam junk from there, pull any other DRM, and hopefully add Galaxy support.

Plus, they can get guys that double-dip too.
