Yes, I'm a user of bitcoin, though the problem is that in the gaming section, not many are supporting it. I figured I'd make a list of those websites that sell DRM-free games and allows you to do so with bitcoin.

List what you know.

I cannot help you, but maybe you can help me. What are your reasons to use bitcoins?
While I can see a number of reasons for using bitcoins, so far none of them have convinced me. Would you care to enlighten me with your personal case?

I joined on the bitcoin train back when Stellar offered a bunch of dollars for free for joining the service, and so I did and transferred my newly acquired bitcoins to Coinbase, a BTC wallet. At that time, I thought Paypal wasn't available for my country. I found that BTC just worked fine for fully digital transactions online while Paypal seemed missing for my country.

That's how I got onto Bitcoin in general. That may not sound convincing to you, I admit. But it worked for me.
I was expecting something related with the banking overlords controlling the currency or other ideological reasoning.

Wait... Paypal was not working in Australia?!
i'm surprised bitcoin and its memetic clones haven't been totally destroyed by lawsuits for fraud or insolvency yet.

is dis srzzz biznest?

bitcoin? seems the whole world is talking about it, also seems almost the whole world would want it.
google on bitcoins safety

read all the info and pro and cons, its huge.

I read only a few lines and i guess i stick to prepaid, it is safe, and has some little form of fallback, and yes there are companies who kinda control it , and might know what you are doing, but i dont mind, cause when using a bank they also know what you do, i like safety first.
credit cards have safety, and ways to cancel things and in some cases get your spend cash back.
So i dont mind that there is some form of bigbrother watching me when i use the default means like prepaid, bank, cheques, or otehr form of safe prepaid cash.

Do they? It is not the first time I read about being able to get your money back in case of illegal use of "stolen" credit card data. However, when I inquired my bank about it, my replay was simply "Nope. That will never happen. Your money will be gone forever. So take care."

Some countries have banks that care about people(up to a certain point) and some countries have banks that treat people like shit. There are many countries that haven't adopted the whole "be nice to the customer" mentality yet.

So I was not misunderstanding things. I'm glad to know.

It is true what you say. When companies have a large chunk of clients they no longer care. As is the case in here.
Also, there are clients whose bottom line is "how much do I have to pay for the service/product?" And then complain how bad it was.

Oops, thought that Desura was still alive to count them as one of those. Better wipe them outta the list.

I'm actually not living in Australia. Yeah, the other bit about bitcoin is that its not government controlled, though I don't consider this an advantage to me.

I think Indiegala was never connected to Desura in any way. That was Indieroyale.

They did sell Desura keys. I remember having Koala Kids for Desura as part of my Indiegala purchases which I recently acquired from Indiegala and redeemed on Desura just in case the service falls down. And I got it as part of a bundle which I was able to buy with Bitcoin, hence why I added Indiegala, but since there is no DRM-free service for them to fall on... yeah.

I'm surprised Bitcoin still has any value or takers, considering all the events of its hilariously shameful life.

To be fair though, the same could be said about any currency.
