Seriously though, it reminds me of the Atari 2600 game Atlantis. I doubt it's that though.

It was originally the_mother_of_all_games.png, but the forum ate the filename.

And no, it's not Atlantis.

Hint: the game's available on GOG, but you will not find its title in the list. Nor in the description. You can, however, find a certain other game related to it, whose title I will also accept as answer (you won't get the bonus points though).

"The Mother of All Games" is related to Scorched Earth after all but you said it's not the game. So I really wonder what do you have in mind :) We will see...
