I thought it to be the latter, but thankfully you said "3", so I could say with a clear conscience that your answer was wrong.

Well, your first picture was titled 'chemistry', and it depicted what seemed like the letters "Li". This is the chemical symbol for lithium, which has atomic number 3. Since your previous mystery game was Blue Shift I immediately made the connection "Half Life" + 3 = "Half Life 3". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, "Li" being half of Life is the correct answer, but chemistry was just a red herring meant to draw your attention away from physics (though neither was used in the drawing; it was just linguistics). You read too much into that Li being Lithium being 3...

And since Vitek passed you get to draw :)

D'oh! I never realized the linguistic hint until you've just pointed it out. I feel stupid... :P
