It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Breja: I don't
When I've read the other post, my first thought was either a typo or someone had been ingesting too much or too many substances.

Now it all makes sense, had a good laugh :)
Download speeds for browser download of the offline installers are very bad for me today (in Germany). I only get about 0.8 Megabyte per second. Normally I get about 12 Megabyte per second and even on bad days at least 4 - 6 Megabyte per second.

This must be an issue happening in your area currently. I'm in Germany too and my download speed via browser is at full speed.
Yes and i don't know why. Yesterday browser was at 3 MB per second and at least galaxy downloads 24 MB per second

Ok, good to know. Seems to be an isolated GOG problem though. Other sites are unaffected. Guess I got a bad server today.

Cross your fingers we don't get a "pay more to get fast download speeds" subscription model.
Download speeds have been bad for years. And it's only happening on GoG! IDK about Galaxy, but they really need to improve this for the offline installers. Maybe implementing an additional direct download by torrent option?

There used to be a GoG downloader, that admittedly i didn't use much, because download by browser was much faster back then.

And one more thing, download works somewhat better if you download only one file at a time. When trying to download several at the same time some weird resources redistribution happens in the browser/or GoG and the download speed becomes much worse.

Well they didn't suck today the speeds.
Got 18MB per second on brigand gold offline installer and 85MB per second with galaxy when downloading mad max and Batman Arkham Knight.
Think internet got upgraded to 1 gbps.

And MB is meant megabytes since the big B.
Think i reached like 680 mbps
