When I launch my game M.A.X. it opens galaxy then starts the game, about 20 moves into the game it keeps crashing. how can I launcg the game with dosbox and not Galaxy

Best thing you can do is uninstall the galaxy client. You really don't need it to access your games.

Go to your account here - https://www.gog.com/en/account

Choose the game you want, then click on Downloads.

Scroll down, past the blue galaxy client banner.

Use the normal game installers underneath the banner.

Launch your game, client-free, and enjoy.

And if that's not enough, there are other flavors of Dosbox that use this thing called modern code that in essence, pull DOSbox kicking and screaming out of the neolithic and into the Iron Age.

To launch the game without Galaxy run thegame directly frm or game folder. And about the cashing thing it appears to be an original glitch with the game.Something memory management related and never solved completely

I guess it can be alleviated slightly with some dosbox tweaking. Here you have some ideas.
