Hi I was wondering why I don't get rumble with my PS5 controller in GOG's version of DOOM + DOOM II? The only way it works is if I run it through Steam. Thanks for any help.

??? Doom & Doom II, the DOS games, which predate controller rumble by literal years?
Presumably the version on Steam is using Steam Input or a source port which enables rumble.

They are not the DOS versions of the games. Doom + Doom II (alternatively known as Doom 1 + 2) is a 2024 compilation of the first two titles in the Doom series plus several mission expansions, including an all-new, 2-episode expansion exclusively for this release. Published by Bethesda Games, all of the Doom content has been ported to Nightdive Studio's KEX Engine for best performance, textures with special effects, and more complex map detailing, among some quality-of-life improvements. Released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, PS4, and Switch.

It has rumble on the Switch and the GOG version has it in the settings menu as seen in the screen capture.
I tried DS4Windows in multiple ways and it did not work. Someone tried telling me that the GOG version of DOOM + DOOM II doesn't support rumble which doesn't seem right since it’s in the options menu.

Let me now if you manage to get that running. I'm still trying to remove the silent left corner pickups notifications, and replace it with their proper sfx.

I swear, all this enhanced, compiled, packages, remasters, etc, always has some fuckery, that a fan made port has manage to implement years ago and way better.

It has no problem running at all, at least from what I can tell. This has been the first time I have really sat down and played so much classic DOOM. So if there are some minor performance issues or some off sound effects I probably won't notice them. It Just refuses to make my PS5 controller rumble unless I run it with Steam using steam’s input translation. All the mods that I have tried work fine too. I’m even working on my own mod for it.

Yeah, run they run. Had no problem with this version or the other older one(not the Dos, the previous bethesda doom 1 and doom 2, they work great in my switch). My problem is with lack of options or removed feature that we had since forever.

I've started playing Legacy of Rust in this version, but then switched to GZDoom for convenience at the 3rd map or so cause the vertical auto aiming, sound cues, etc where off.
