You know what is really annoying? When people put in technical complaints in the review section of a game. Why can't people just mention such things in the forums where people can actually respond and help with the problem?

Because if you don't do it in the reviews, then people won't get the full idea of what they're buying into.

That being said, this is less of an issue than it used to be when you couldn't get a refund if the game wouldn't work correctly on your computer. I've still got a few games in my library from before that policy change that will probably never work.

Because people might find it useful?

If somebody finds out game x does not work on Win Y or with graphic-card Z that IS useful information.

GOG could always remove such a review once the problem is fixed.

Better than the other way round IMHO.
Is there an asshole convention in town? There are a lot of these threads going up today.

Basically this, same situation here and ironically today i decided to give Corsairs Gold another try, the first time around i had a problem with the framerate (unplayable) and today it was fixed (in these passing months i switched the hardrive, added more RAM and installed Windows again). All good, right?
Nope, now the game crashes after a few minutes in, checking the foruns is a common problem...

So yeah, i would agree with you op if this was an early acess game situation, the game is still in development and people need to understand what they're buying, but in this situation? No, i can understand that the game is old and it's due to have some problem with modern machines but they're still asking money for it...
Because it's a huge part of how much you do/can enjoy the game?
Because other people might find it useful, which is why you're posting the review in the first place?

Smannesman: which is why you're posting the review in the first place?
Just playing devil's advocate in this minor point: when a game doesn't work, angry people might be posting a review just to rant in the most public way they can think of. (Hence the success of Twitter, for example...)

I'm cosplaying as myself.
Because it's an honest Review.
A review by someone who actually finished the game and didn't just played it casually.
There are few games here having few bugs and problems and people who played it don't want others to suffer from same fate.
Infact in some games it's the technical complaints in the review which made GOG to patch the game (I think Omerta City of Gangasters was one of them).
I am greatful to those gamers who posts these bugs and troubles they cope with in the reviews so that no other person suffers with same.

I hv 2 disagree. Like some other comments in this thread we shd actually thk those who wrote abt the technical problems in the reviews. Cos they alert potential buyers of the games to potential glitches in the game & thus may not be able 2 fully enjoy or able 2 play the game/s they 1ed 2 buy instead of finding out only aft they bought the game.

Besides, not every1 who 1s 2 buy games visits the forum 1st but if they 1 2 buy any games there's a high chance they wld read the reviews b4 buying. If I'm right also, not all glitches can be fixed or thoroughly addressed so hving known the issues b4 they buy the game can potentially saved them money, trouble & frustration fr playing glitched games. Until the glitches get patched or fixed of cos. :)

So... is the way you wrote this post some elaborate comment on what it feels like to play a bugged, broken game, or are you a VIP at this convention?

Sry, dun really get wat u mean. I'm just putting myself in the shoes of how a potential buyer wld feel aft buying a glitch game & not able 2 play or fully enjoy it that's all. If anything, pls c the other thread on the rant by 1 such 'buyer' 'forced' 2 get TW3 on GOG. ;)

He means the text speak makes it very hard to understand what you're saying.
