I do not want to post here, but its three weeks without GoG reply.

On 30 August I send a ticket VNR9CRA6 because I cannot buy anything despite I am using the same card Yesterday.

Using paypal does not work either. Checking with my bank and they say there is no blockage on their part.

GoG does not reply me, but a few days later the issue resolved by itself.

However on 17 September I face the same thing, I just bought 2 pianta I am blocked from buying the third pianta despite using the same card. I check with my bank and there are no blockage. I send a ticket C1QS53II to GoG again and there is no reply yet.

Checking again today......

Today after buying Starpoint Gemini 2 and it's DLC in one purchase, then buy 5 gift in a second purchase, buy another 5 gift in a third purchase. I CANNOT buy the 6 gift in a fourth purchase.

So do GoG have a purchase limit I am not aware of? I send the third ticket and wonder when GoG will actually reply,
That's strange. To my knowledge, there is no purchase limit. There were recently problems with stolen credit cards or something like that which caused temporary gifting restrictions, but those are supposed to be over now if I'm not mistaken. During the pinata sale I bought 5 pinatas in 5 separate purchases, and I think on that same day I bought the first two Van Helsing games. This was all done with PayPal, but you said that PayPal didn't work for you either. It's weird that Support hasn't given you a response yet, but maybe a member of the staff will see this thread and help you out.

Possible they're puzzled as well and investigating / bumping it up the chain.

A brief response to let you know they're looking into it would be good protocol, but I can say from experience that unexpected puzzles sometimes end up falling outside how companies would 'prefer' to respond.
I don't think so. Because there are GOGers who buy a lot of games on promos, big sales, insomnia and etc.
I bought 6 pinatas 1 at a time in succession one day last week. No issues.

I have to wonder if your bank is being straight with you. That sounds like the type of thing that would happen when an overly sensitive fraud protection system is being used...
Aren't there one or two of the Blues who are usually helpful if you PM them directly?

Maybe it is the gifting thing? I bought 10 gifts today and maybe it rised a red flag for GoG system?

Well checking if there are any blue I can ask.

Possible. Also possible if you ran them as separate purchases that your bank has an automated stop that requires a manual review before proceeding. Customer service may not see that level of detail.

I had a similar incident - during the Insomnia sale I got blocked and had to call my bank to unlock somewhere around my 8th purchase (don't ask). During the summer sale it locked again, but by the time I called it had already been cleared.

I am sure it is something wrong on GoG side, not my bank.

Because just now I see System Shock release, tried to purchase it, then succeed.
I then proceed to buy the 6 gift mention in the first post and succeed too.

Then I try to buy another System Shock as a gift BUT FAILED as in the attached picture.

So I am suspecting GoG limit system has something to do with gift purchase.

Didn't they introduce a 5-gift/day limit at some point? Let me see if I can find the info.

Found it.

"3.3 Your GOG account and GOG content are personal to you. You can gift GOG games and GOG videos to other people (up to a limit of 5 per day and provided the recipient doesn’t already own the GOG game/video being gifted) however this might differ on a case by case basis, but you can't sell them or charge money for them."

Pretty sure they mentioned you can only buy so many gifts of a single game per day

Edit: Darn, well that above me :)

Sorry about not replying to your original ticket - I've just sent you a reply to your new ticket, with some information about your current predicament.

As for the purchase limit - there are some speed limits set on our payment processor's end, but on our end we're only limiting gifting. These were not the cause of your payment problems, which we are investigating to the best of our ability.
Unfortunately we haven't been able to recreate the problem yet, as it appears to be randomly occurring. Clearing your cache and cookies - as well as making sure that you aren't running any software that might be modifying the cookie files - might help. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I don't know if that is the problems of the cookies, because I do a series of purchase as fast as I can. If there are problems with my cookies I would not be able to buy the first few games purchase. But I do not know well enough to be sure.

For instance this morning I buy Starpoint Gemini and its DLC and succeed
Immediately after I try to buy 5 games as a gift and succeed
Immediately after I try to buy another 5 games as a gift and succeed
Immediately after I try to buy another 6 games as a gift but failed.

Not long ago I see System Shock is available and recommended by JudasIscariot.
So I try buying it and succeed.
Immediately after I try to buy the 6 gift that failed earlier and succeed.
Immediately after I try to buy the second copy of System Shock but failed.

So I wonder if it is the gift purchase limit as mention as Grargar, because my problem happens when I am trying to buy gifts.
What Grargar linked is an official statement on the 5 gift limit... and your purchase history supports that (works with 5, not with 6), so why doubt it?

Edit: Nevermind, didn't see the succeed part in it.

Because it says payment failed instead of saying I had exceed my gift limit quota
