I recently got Visa gift card and when i use it to pay for my games, it doesn't work, is this a problem or GOG doesn't use Visa gift cards?

Keep in mind that we are based in Europe, and your card must support international transactions (for instance, many American prepaid cards do not support them).

You may try to link your VISA gift card to PayPal account.

In the US, buying internationally with a gift card is difficult. You have to be picky about which ones you buy. All Visa cards are not the same.

I don't know about Visa, but from my experience from using my debit card (Mastercard), it's really difficult. Often these credit card companies would have a list on the different companies that they trust, which I really doubt GOG is among them in the list. Sometimes my purchase would be successful, some other times it would be declined. A temporary fix for this would be to wait for some time before initiating another purchase with the same card (that is if you managed to successfully do it the first time). That worked for me once, but not anymore lol.

So now I'm using Skrill to pay for the games. Even then, there was a time when I was unable to pay using Skrill because I had deposited some money to its balance through my Mastercard's debit card, which is insane because I didn't expect the credit card company would care so much about the transaction I make when it's no longer in my card's balance. So yeah, what I did was I made some deposit to my Skrill balance through an ewallet I have, and that worked. So yeah, it's better to use other payment methods like PayPal or Skrill.
