tfishell: GOG is terrible, let's all die
How about some pie while we cry? ;)

(American dad humor/joke.....not me being rude/flippant. :))

(That said I like it here much better for the nicer users on average than steam forums....though steam forums obv. gets much more posts on it's forums to read and reply to)

P1na: Problem being, there's no way I'd now a new indie since I don't follow sites or people to get recomendations from, my main recomendation input used to be "games good enough they managed to get a GOG release". When that number grew too big, it basically dropped to only things a friend would personally recommend, and for random new stuff to try I have humble monthly.
I think it's just a modern day issue though, rather than a GOG specific one. Steam lets everything on there and their supposed "algorithms" that should show you what you want don't work at al. They constantly recommend me online games, sims and strategy games even though I play zero of all three. I'm not sure there's any solution to this issue anywhere. It's gonna put indies out of business too, because no one can sift through the tidal wave.

jepsen1977: One of the aspects I really loved about GOG in the past was their fair pricing model. If you already owned 3 out of 5 games in a bundle you would still get the big discount on the last 2 games but without having to pay for the 3 you already owned. Steam used to be bad at this and Bethesda are the absolute worst at this.

These days GOG bundles leave a lot to be desired......
Interestingly enough, in The Witcher Collection, in this sale, you only have to pay for the titles you do not have, instead of getting codes (that also have an expiration date, on top of that). It seems that the way bundles are handed depends on the agreements with the publishers.

StingingVelvet: It does suck that the community seems to have gone to hell
There is still life in the game-specific forums. Helpful, informative, good natured for the most part.
