I have video evidence to present that Bubsy, no matter what format is largely suffering.

So that's a hard NO for my vote.

X-com: Nah, Zool 1+2 would be much better, even Codename: Robocod or Jazz Jackrabbit
Or Jetpack on the Speccy, that would be more fun than Bubsy.

tinyE: Are they broken? boring?
Imagine playing through a game as the bus from Speed and quickly flying through a level, only to be killed in a single hit by a sentient hot dog you had no way of seeing in time. Obviously some people harbor grudges from the games' constant sadism, but the first two Bubsys become entertaining once you learn how to avoid those cruel tricks. Or maybe that's the Stockholm syndrome talking.

It's basically Dark Souls, but with cat puns. And boots that break the laws of physics. And lethal eggs. And roller coasters. And giraffes with sunglasses.
After finishing the first one and giving up on the sequel...no, no thanks.
Putting two terrible games in a SNES emulator with poorly configurable controls and reselling them.

What could possibly go wrong?

Is the Two-Fur release on Steam done with the SNES versions? I was hoping we would see the Windows version of Super Bubsy here someday. Though it's looking like neither are likely.

EDIT: Checked Steam, and it is indeed the SNES versions. I wonder what makes them different.

tinyE: I had Google them and so far I don't see the outrage of some people.

They look like just another group of console platformers which while not my bag doesn't seem like enough to get people so upset about them.
The first few were an unimaginative Sonic copycat with cringey 90s ''attitude''. But the infamous one is Bubsy 3D, one of the first 3D platformers and also one of the worst.

Well, firstly, the second Bubsy never came out for PC.

Also, as I understand it, it's not easy to get running on modern PCs. I believe the CD audio is missing when you play it on Windows 8 or 10, despite the CD being in the drive. A winmm.dll replacement to allow the use of OGG files may solve this, but I haven't tried it.

It also uses exactly the same technology as many of the other 16-bit console ports of that era (Earthworm Jim, Fatal Fury 3) and therefore won't run in full screen without causing major problems.

Indeed it would be better than Bubsy but I personally prefer this (one of my fave games ever) plus the upcoming [url=http://www.jetpackhq.com/]Jetpack 2 which I'd love to get here on GOG.
There are youtube vids of super bubsy so you can see the difference. Music quality us better as well as the crisp gfx. I saw a seller on amazon. I snagged it. The idiot either mislabelled it (though screen pic was the Seper Bubsy CD cover in his advert) or is a scammer. I got sent a rather dirty SNES cartridge that was NOT what was offered. I guess he thought slapping the PC pic up was better than taking a picture. Meh. I guess its rare to get but i saw the pic and chanced it. Dude is from england i guess. Fuck my money. (20$)
