Good, now let's hope it's not a "Bethesda.net Launcher" exclusive.

depends on the games you like, its more or less acceptable. origin and battlenet can bite my ass. but i could live with bethesda and/or bohemia launcher exclusive games.
So, another six months, then. I hope that they'll have ironed out the most critical bugs by then. >_>
I need to finish the first one. I was going for a not detected playthrough and got kind of stressed with the pacing.
I also haven't got round to playing the first one yet. Picked it up in a steam sale, was actually considering playing it today (am on holiday, and out of games :(), but opted for System Shock 2 instead. Is it worth playing through?

It's a ton of fun in my oppinion, you can run around butchering everybody or you can stealth your way through the missions. You can change and upgrade you equipment and skills which gives the game a bit more tactical depth.
The story isn't noteworthy I'd say, but the gameplay makes up for that.
November!? DAGNABBIT!!

Ah well, gives me time to complete (aka start) all of the previous games in the back log ;)
Since I don't have laptop, nor PC suitable to run such a game, whatever the release day, I am just satisfied it is finally confirmed. Dishonored was epic, Dishonored 2 seems to be another great adventure.
I love Dishonored, but as far as I'm concerned bethesda is a poor company I'll be cautiously optimistic for it still.

It's really good as long as you're not expecting a Thief reboot. Most people that dislike Dishonored seem to have been tricked by the marketing to believe it's the new thief, when it's really quite a different beast. Don't get me wrong it's a stealth game alright, but the way stuff works is a bit different.

I picked up the GOTY edition at 7,50 years later and I almost regret not getting it at launch. The story is good, especially DLC. The mechanics are solid, but you get a bit overpowered in my opinion so you might want to do a challenge run (Either no kill, or high chaos plenty of fun achievements too if you're into those).

I played through both game and DLC multiple times to get all the endings, and no matter how you play it, yes it's worth at least 1 playthrough.

Dishonored ranks up with Riddick for me... only 2 games i can sit down and play though and never be bored.

Dishonored has everything i want in a game... and I accidentally did a full stealth play-though with minimal fighting, rather no fighting.. my next time was a no-holds kill'em all style and both were equally satisfying ^_^

I have no idea how they can have a 2 really... the first was so perfect, it was a complete and fulfilling story.
This might be massively known and covered elsewhere, but since I just found out, I'll share in case others live in the dark as I do.

Amazon now offers a 20% discount on qualified pre-orders. So the fancy corvo mask, stand, ring, etc. regularly 99.99 is 79.99 after adding to your cart. I believe you need to be a Prime member, but trials work as well.

oh, and the collectibles look pretty sweet if you haven't seen them yet.
GOG or GTFO.
