Chacranajxy: It seems like everything comes to PC days, but this one was out of left field. Disgaea, the very highly-regarded SRPG, is coming to PC. Not really holding my breath at this point, but hopefully, this'll come to GOG. Here's the deets:
I wonder if it's because old assets can be resold because the original systems they were sold on aren't in use anymore. Unless they were paid to be exclusive to the PS2 or PS3 or something, why not put it on PC?
Seeing as there's PC specific updates, that sounds better than the Golden Axe or the Bubsy ports which are probably just running on emulators.
I'd love to see Disgaea come to GoG. Recently i restarted playing it for a short while and utterly blown away at the loading screens lasting maybe 2 seconds before getting to the level or game, compared to games today which take a long time even using a ramdrive to fully load games textures and other details. Not only that the game ran fast.
JudasIscariot: I personally hope we get Disgaea games <snip> busy playing the game...forever and ever :P
I've heard that some people can spend years playing them, literally. Usually after the main campaign there's extra levels that are extra hard, and then the item world with you beefing up items, and although they are all nice and good, it is sorta slow going.
Perhaps the biggest hope i have for the game, is they include an auto-resolve. What do i mean? Say i'm leveling a level 20 sword and my guys are 500th level. Do i really need to tell them all to individually rush guys and attack them? Or can they just act on their own and deal with it? I know it's tactical and turn based, but it's so very very slow, and feels worse when you're overpowered in the area you're working on.
