Earlier today gog made a news post titled "8 Things You May Not Know About Cyberpunk 2077", which linked to a video on the subject. That news post and the corresponding video have mysteriously disappeared. What is going on here? Why delete such a fine marketing effort?
Late realisation that they had posted something that would have been more suitable for the time when Cyberpunk 2077 actually launched last year?
Yes they did, for other languages also. I was refreshing my page about 10 minutes ago only to realize it no longer exists.

The original video still exists [EDIT]: No anymore, it was removed just a few minutes ago.

My favorite youtube comment was the one that made fun of CDPR calling their own game "ground-breaking".

>ground-breaking game
>clips through the floor
Hm, really, it's gone. Frankly, I was a bit surprised that they would do a marketing post for the game before releasing the next patch.

Especially a marketing video that regurgitated all the pre-release talking points they'd use to pull wool over everyone's eyes. Maybe someone messed up the schedule of the forum post and it was supposed to go online on March 26th of last year...

I would suggest that today was the planned date for patch release which would fix everything and that was a communication issue. I do hope this whole CP2077 situation will be resolved positively in future.
It had a link to Cyberpunk 2077 content hub.
Yeah I got a notification on YouTube, clicked on it and get a message that the video was deleted by the uploader. All I know is it was something to do with Cyberpunk and 8 things we didn't know about it. There are literally dozens of videos on YouTube about N things you didn't know about Cyberpunk, maybe they found out that we already know from one of those other videos so they deleted it because it wasn't true. :)
Yeah, and a YouTube video as well mate! :D
Guess some people are not so forgiving about their bullshit as they thought! :D
I started to watch it, thought I watch it later! Too bad nobody saved the video! :D

Dunno, but it sounds like one of those "clickbait" style YT video titles some channels put out to get tons of views from normies.

Well at least they didn't lie. ;D

Everything is fine. They merely found out that everyone already knew 2 things and re-upload it as "6 Things You May Not Know About Cyberpunk 2077".

Lenny, what the hell are you doing?

Uhm... uploading some marketing bullshit about Cyberpunk? You know, "8 things you might not know" and other such clickbait youtube crap. People love it. The hype is throug the...

Lenny, the fuck is wrong with you? The game released months ago, and everyone fucking hates it. It's broken, we're still apologising for it, and half the forum here is still pissed about that DRMed cosmetic stuff we put in there! Don't fucking remind them about Cyberpunk! Delete this shit!

Oh all right. By the way, some guy from the forum was asking about it, so I told him that we're OK with DRM in single player content now as long as... Peter? Peter, why are you opening the window? PETER?!
I saw the video before they took it down and found the info interesting :) I didn't follow along with the development at all leading up to release, and haven't followed along after release either so I have no idea if any of it was new info or not, only that it is all new to me :)

Sometimes I wonder if GOG employs some teenagers who post something, quickly realize they probably shouldn't have, then quickly delete it and act like it never happened.

Don't ask me why, but this played out as "Petr" in my mind. Guess it's just the brain doing its thing to come up with plausible GOGBear names :P. (Though I guess it was a bit off, since "Piotr" would have made more sense.)
