Fate-is-one-edge: They are protecting their domestic interests, as they should.
This is actually respectable, nevermind what people coonsider of the Chinese government.
DadJoke007: There might be some truth to this. And, if we turn on it, how many people would go bananas if some chinese studio released a game on Steam that mocks Trump, Obama or Sanders?
Not saying that the chinese president is much to defend, it's more that it's an obnoxious move towards the chinese and China to include mockery of their politics. Very unprofessional.
Each would stick to their own guns, respective to their culture, beliefs and social construct.
As this stands, I don't think it's of special interest that Chinese, in their majority, consumers, are boycotting this product.
What would bother me personally is that people who disagree with China's political hierarchy are self-entitled to the right to insult its authority, for which the Chinese consumers are replying in kind and in accordance to where they stand about this.
Again, not of particular interest, while quite foreseeable.
