Awwww man, like so many of you, I was looking forward to the Saints Row reboot. With it's CHARM! and power fantasy gamesplay. Not to mention it's great and awesome seance of humor.

A story about collage students joining a gang to pay off their student loans... (even as a joke this painful to write.) and sharp witty hummer.

In all seriousness DAH 2 is the saints follow up we didn't ask for but, most certainly deserved. You can keep Saints Row Epic. I'll just sit here and play DAH 2.

Destroy All Humans, It's like Saints Row, but good.

Yes, it would have been so much better if Volition made a remake / remaster of the real Saint Row 1 to finally have it on PC, instead of the soulless mess they did with the 2022 version.

They couldn't even remaster the 3rd one without stuffing it up.

I have to say, still looking forward for the final release in roughly a year.

Right now there is just an open beta on consoles and Epic.
I tried watching a review of SR, but then I fell asleep through it. What was wrong with it exactly? Like I noticed the spongey enemy health bars and an assault rifle with 24 rounds in it and I was like "that's not a good sign".

In short ultra-buggy to ridiculous level even after the day one patch, boring and repetitive activities even by open world game standard, gameplay worse than the 2006 original, and writing and characters that even a Netflix writer would be ashamed of.

Yeah, I stopped being a fan of the series once 3 came out. 2 seemed like lightning in a bottle, so I was real disappointed with what came after, even if I enjoyed 4 for what it was. I have no idea what changed so much.

As a die-hard fan of the Row, I have to say the game is great, its lost nothing of itself. It's still crazy, the humor is spot-on and there is more of it. I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. This reboot feels like a mix of 2 and 3 while being completely unique. Its serious but also goofy and everything just seems to work well together.

The map feels good, shooting feels good, the driving is fantastic. The customizability is seriously off the charts except for voices, they are missing a grizzled/older male voice, but they have the rest.

Also the easter egg call bask to other games like Red Faction was perfectly tucked into the word. All-in-all when it comes to GOG I'll be buying it here, right now its console only for me until its DRM free.
Unfortunately, Destroy All Humans! 2 just cannot fill the void left by the Saints Row series for me.

I lost interest once I realized 4 was just a carbon copy of 3 with superpowers. It's felt more like mod than a sequel

I didn't mind that. What I did mind was the bluish hazy look of the game. If you can't stand the way a game looks you won't be able to play it.

I think the fact that the game kept going from 60fps to 10fps on a dime at times (on console at least) is what made me finally understand why people get motion sickness in first person shooters and why developers have framerate caps in the first place. I mean, it didn't stop me from playing and beating it twice to get my money's worth, but I can see someone getting sick off of it.

That's what you get for playing on consoles... sorry :P
