king_kunat: Hey everyone!
We’ll be removing Daggerfall Unity - GOG Cut from our store on February 12th at 2 PM UTC. We’ve made this decision because, at this time, the pack is outdated and no longer fulfills its purpose of providing a hassle-free modded experience to the game.
Rest assured, anyone who already has it in their library will, of course, keep it.
We’re also working on a solution that will allow us to publish and maintain such projects better in the future, so stay tuned!
Your pack never provided a hassle free modded version of the game. It was always full of conflicting mods and setup in a way that made it nearly impossible to edit.
Syphon72: Never seem the big deal of this. Not like GOG was stealing and claiming they created the mods. If GOG was selling it that would be an issue.
Most mods don't have any licences or copyright protection. But do agree they should of asked to be courteous.
They literally ALL have copyright protection unless it is explicitly waived. You have an implied copyright on any work you create, unless it is waived explicitly through the written license or you've signed a contract that makes it someone else's, like a work for hire for example.
