Omny011: I usually like to keep at most 3 game saves so I delete them often. This time around I went a bit too fast and deleted them all. Tried to look in all the folders, even did system recovery with no luck. While waiting on support to respond I thought maybe someone else might had a similar problem and maybe a solution. Thanks so much! Playing Witcher 3 on windows 7.
Why would you do that, in first place? I probably have a few hundred W3 save games by now, and have yet to start deleting older ones. They're not that big, so you should keep at least a few dozen different save games, for a game of this scale and complexity. As a general rule, it's always wise to save often and keep multiple saves when playing PC games. There's always the risk that some bug could fuck up your progress, and you'll be forced to go back to an older save.
Now that the damage is done, I guess you have only two options: Try to recover your saves, as others suggested, or just start playing again from the beginning. Given that Witcher 3 offers various interesting player choices and branching story-lines, starting over again might not be such a bad experience. But maybe it would be best to wait until the expansions are released. Perhaps even until they release some kind of complete or enhanced edition. In the end it's your choice, depending on how much you enjoyed the game, and how badly you want to keep playing right now.
