Hi all! I'm looking at gifting a game to a friend for his birthday. The game is currently on sale which runs out soon, but his birthday is over a week away. Is there a way to buy the game now and not gift it straight away? Thanks for any help!

Just gift it to your own e-mail address?

Seems like that would work.

When you buy a game as a gift, you're effectively sending a code for the game that you can redeem here: https://www.gog.com/redeem

So basically, as Smannesman wrote, buy it as a gift using your own e-mail address. You will get an e-mail with a code for the game, and since giftcodes don't bind to your account, it's possible to redeem to whichever account you prefer. In your case, you can keep it for a week and then give it to your friend.

Thank you all for your replies! I wasn't expecting so many so soon. I'll go buy it now!
