Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition will be 75% off until April 4 11:59 PM PDT / April 5 2:59 AM EDT/ 7:59 BST and 60% off until April 29 10:59 AM PDT / 1:59 PM EDT / 18:59 BST. The 60% discount for Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition until April 29 10:59 AM PDT / 1:59 PM EDT / 18:59 BST. I bought the enhanced edition of Icewind Dale because it was discounted. I have downloaded and installed it, but I have not yet played it. Would I still be eligible for a refund? The thing is, I intend to buy the classic version of the game before it becomes unavailable and don't want it merged with the enhanced edition.

It will be just merged as a bundle for buyers. There will still be both versions in the library, so I'm not sure why that is a problem.
And once you downloaded the game, there is no refund possible aside from the money back thing because of technical problems.

Yeah, I just found the thing about refunds only being offered if there are technical issues with the game.

I hope you're right about the different versions being separated in the library. The wording of this announcement is somewhat ambiguous.

so if i buy a gift code of that bundle now and redeem it later, at the time the games get merged. do i get the original games included for free?

wolfsrain: I think this is Beamdog's doing, not GOG, so they could push the sales of ill-reputed games (mostly because of unsolved bugs and with a new patch that broke more than did repair).
You honestly think that Beamdog unilaterally initiated the bundling despite the fact that Wizards of the Coast has owned the Dungeons &amp; Dragons IP since 1997 & has owned WotC [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizards_of_the_Coast#Acquisition_by_Hasbro]since 1999? If so, how would you realistically conjecture that Beamdog achieved this without Wizards of the Coast, let alone Hasbro, noticing?

To those who have complained about the bundling of the games; has it occurred that it might be more proactive to directly contact the entity that in my opinion is most likely responsible for the decision, Wizards of the Coast and/or Hasbro?

I'm sure you're right about contacting... whoever (not GOG), but at the same time if GOG knows enough people are unhappy about it they might work to get the classics unbundled from the EEs. My thinking is that WotC, while OK-ing content, doesn't deal in video games, afaik, so Hasbro seems like the better choice, so far.

So I just noticed today, that after clicking on the deal, nothing happens (it doesn't take me to the purchase page as it did before). I assume its some glitch that happened after they removed the weekend promo ? Or is it just me? Clicking on the weekly staff picks promo still works.

For what is worth I own all the Enhanced Editions, but few days ago clicking on the deal worked just fine.

I'm talking about the general offer (for people who don't own the classics), that has BG EE at - 75%, and BG2 EE & IWD EE at -60% each. Its also supposed to last until April 29th, but when I click on it now, nothing seems to happen.

Now I read more carefully and see that the -75% for BG EE only lasts until today and then the game goes to -60% too starting from today until April 29 along with the other 2 games. So maybe something went glitchy during transition.

Yeah, I checked, and as I mentioned, I own them already. GOG should fix the deal link to avoid confussion is what I'm saying.

I'm not talking about the news article about the deal (that's in the left corner of the front page), I'm talking about the deal's click-to-purchase tile that's up in the right corner on the front page. Those do get removed when they expire, see weekend promo that was just removed last night.



EDIT: And it's fixed now.
