You'd get a minor speed boost vs. modern integrated graphics. You'd get an order of magnitude or two compared to 10 year old integrated graphics. And you'd get a decent performance boost vs. a GeForce 7600 GT.

There's barely anything you can call decent for $50.

For $85 you have R7 360, for $100 you have GTX 750 Ti and for $120 R7 370.

Edit: Just checked, there's also RX 460 for $110, perhaps the best above all those 3.

Well if your budget is limited to $50 then the best graphics card you can get right now is GeForce GT 710.

Honestly, at this point I would say that your best bet is get a second hand XBOX 360/PS3 and pick up all those great games whilst they're SUPER cheap. It's more practical in the long run.

We're entering an era where - if you're building a new budget build gaming system from scratch (instead of the need to upgrade an old system with an new gpu) - you can do without a graphics card, just build a system with a Ryzen 5 2400G. Or if your budget is more tight, a Ryzen 3 2200G.
