Sometime Summer 2020, but more importantly via 505 Games, who also happen to offer their published games (not all of them but still) on GoG.

Tim "The Swine" Sweeney and his exclusivity boutique probably will try and throw more than the usual higher one-digit/lower two-digit million amount of dollarydoos at this to be allowed to hold it hostage for a year.
Despite loving stealth games I never liked his Metal Gear stuff because of the batshit crazy anime stories and endless dialog. Assuming this is the same, I probably won't like it either. Sci-fi is my baby though, so I'll probably give it a go anyway.

505 Games released Control exclusively for EGS and it might be happen with Death Stranding.
I have no idea what the game is about. Though the only thing that i remotely interested is the main protagonist is from The Walking Dead AMC series. With that being said, it's not even my favourite character from TWD. It's just one of the game that too ambitious and complex for me to fathom.
low rated
That's good news. Hopefully Epic will pick this one up and give Steam another kick in the nuts.

It's seems that Sony has completely lost it's ability to pay for and hold 3rd party exclusiveness this generation with pretty much everything going to PC and sometimes even Xbox...Nioh, NieR Automata, No Mans Sky, Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles, Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot, all the old Final Fantasy games (even FF VII is on Xbox!) etc. I don't think Sony are as healthy as everyone thinks.

They just came off two strong years and a good start to 2019. As for exclusives, they have a wealth of studios in their fold and a whole host of exclusives on their systems. There's theory crafting and then there's just ignoring things :P
While I won't exactly jeer at you wanting the game to come here, since when has Hideo seemed like the DRM free kinda guy? He's a big movie buff.

Sure, but how do you know what their own internal expectations are? Why have they entered into agreements with MS to bring all their stuff to the cloud? Why are so many of their top leadership leaving without explanation? How badly did Vita fail, why did their VR only achieve half the hoped for user base? Why aren't they holding onto to their 3rd party games anymore? They're making profits, but are they the ones they hope for and expected by head office?

Why? A bit immature, is it not? Exclusives as a whole is pretty sad, your attitude makes it worse.

Because bringing Steam down a notch and making it at least try harder will only help the industry in the longer term. Steam is fat and lazy. It's only a store exclusive after all, not like I'd need to buy unique hardware. It like going to Coles instead of Woolworths, they're both right next to me so no big deal.

Edit: All pretty irrelevant anyway, since when I buy Death Stranding (at some point I will because Kojima is legend), it won't be for PC, it will be for my PlayStation. That's because it's hooked up to a 55 inch HDR display with theatre surround and a gaming bed. My PC is hooked up to a monitor and I can't be bothered moving it all the time.

Playing the 'what if' game will just lead to never ending posts my dude :P
Without a doubt 505 are going to push for an even more obscene exclusivity deal on Epic. After all they got a 10 million deal for Control.
505 is a garbage publisher who will no doubt take another Epic deal, best we can hope for is a timed one.

Some weeks ago, during a video-game expo, the GOG staff published on Instagram photos of a meeting they had with Kojima.
Could mean something.
