A quite unusual yet formidable update for the famous action-platformer from the Motion Twin studio is here. It’s filled to abundance with weapons, skills, and skins inspired by games from other indie studios, like Hollow Knight, Guacamelee, or Blasphemous.

The celebrate this update, we’ve decided to grant a 40% discount on the Dead Cells base game, lasting until 26th November 2021, 2 PM UTC.

For more details about the update, visit the game's page.

Thank you for the update. This is one of the few games on GOG that receive frequent updates. Thanks to the development team, to the publisher and to GOG. I wish this could be repeated with other games in the GOG Catalogue as well.
The only game of this unusual crossover to be missing on GOG would be Skul: The Hero Slayer, which I actually wonder why it hasn't made it here yet.
The offline installer reads version 1.16.0. As expected, the changelog on the offline installer page is woefully out of date (by 2+ years!) and suggests to go to dead-cells.com/patchnotes for the most recent changelogs. When I go there, the Patch Notes there say 26.0, so I can only assume that is the most recent version number and what is being discussed in the news/forum post here.

Can we please have clarity on when the offline installer is up to date? Believe it or not, some of us refuse Galaxy and only come here for the offline installers. This sort of second-class treatment does not exactly inspire consumer confidence. I have suggested that despite the importance of boycotting, it is worth buying offline installers now because we can't really trust you all will continue to provide them.

Can anyone confirm if this is true?
If yes, it's really sad. :(

I installed the offline version and it is identified as update 26 in the game itself. The offline installers are up to date.

Thank you!
Why is there no discount on the Fatal Seed Bundle?

Base game + DLCs are now cheaper than the bundle. Currently there is a deal on Steam, where the Bundle is even cheaper.
Don't you want to have us as customer?
I was about to be surprised because Dead Cells has been great about maintaining parity between the builds. The confusion likely stemmed from how GOG usually has its own build-numbers for the installers, so to make sure that the game is up to date or not you need to install it first.
It's the last straw when someone asks what version the game is updated to when GOG warns you in the library about updates.
Thank you for this great game ^^
Need to re-install It now xD

This. I'd grab the game if the bundle were on a sale that matched Steam's.

oh come on, GOG Connects are one-shot things that might or might not happen, you can't expect to have GOG library items for everything you have on Steam. Why do you expect GOG Connect from Dead Cells? It was never promised anywhere. This is so unreasonable. Itßs been on GOG since 2017 when it was still in earlz access dev.
