It's really nice if you date someone who is a gamer. People love doing this because all the games and apps we use on our phones or computer make us more connected to each other and can help us stay connected in a real life. It is also a lot of fun if you can also talk about games and how good and bad they were with the people you hang out with in real life. But when you meet your partner in real life and want to start playing games with each other, there is a big chance that there is something you do not get along with their friends and family, and it is the same with me.

Enjoying certain kind of games doesn't have to indicate the person is lacking something in real life; I like shooters and management sims but have zero interest in shooting or managing anything (except my own work) IRL. Similarly with dating simulators, for me it's more about enjoying the story, the characters and the writing. Hatoful Boyfriend was already mentioned and it's really great, I've also enjoyed Monster Prom a lot, it's more of a "party game" though.

I kinda wonder about the genre definition and what games should be called dating sims and which not. Like Crosmando said, there should be some simulation element to it so it's not just a visual novel romance story, but how much do you think? If it's a branching story where you are presented with choices and dialogue options that have to be correctly selected to progress relationships with certain characters, would that be enough?
Dating a gamer is a delightful experience that goes beyond just shared interests. Engaging in games and apps on our devices fosters a unique bond, enhancing our connection in both virtual and real life. It's exhilarating to discuss the highs and lows of gaming with the people we hang out with. Meeting a partner who shares this passion adds a new level of fun to the relationship. As we explore games together, there's an opportunity to deepen our connection. Thanks to platforms like https://www.luvfree.com, finding like-minded individuals becomes even more accessible. While challenges may arise when blending social circles, the joy of gaming strengthens the foundation, making the journey worthwhile.
